TWBTW Online group in USA timezones (schedule TBD) using D&D Beyond and Discord

Schedule: Bi-Weekly games to start, 4-5 hour sessions. Schedule will be chosen based on the most common Player availability
Roles sought: 2+ additional Players
Game style: casual, hardcore, roleplay

Experienced DM looking for Players of any experience level to play in a regular campaign of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight / Forgotten Realms. Characters are tracked using DnD Beyond and play will take place on Discord video chat. Friendly, helpful and open to teaching. Heavily reliant upon rules, but group interactions are kept light and deep roleplaying or comedy are highly encouraged. Characters should be created vanilla or using our DnD Beyond campaign's books & ruleset, which includes just a couple of homebrew rules and backgrounds from the DM's Guild.

Sounds interesting. I'm a veteran TTRPGer still relatively newish to 5e, available after 8pm EST most evenings (certain days up in the air). 

My two big questions would be 1) I never remember if "bi-weekly" is twice a week or every other week, and 2) What is being used for combat visualization? Because my computer can't seem to run VTTs so if you guys use any I'll need some very minor accommodations.

My friend and I are looking for an online game. We are both very well versed with 5e. We are Available on Friday after 5pm all day Saturday. We are both MST and PST.
Game style: we like a balance of ropleplay and combat. We are long time friends that love D&D we are looking for a game with adults that has plans to go into the higher levels. My discord ID is Vett#9964

Hey there! Thanks for replying. That's a great availability and could likely work when we nail a time down that would work best for all players. Bi-Weekly meaning every other week to begin with :-) although I'd like to play more than that in the future if schedules allow it.

I don't use a VTT, what I do use is Google Drawings to manipulate battle mats, images and tokens, then screen share it in Discord so everyone can see. It works pretty well in practice, but players do need me to move their characters for them. That's about the only downside we encountered- "not that space, the one above it and to the left". I do all the work but I'm pretty quick about it.

Thanks for responding Vett! I love that you are bringing a two for one here and the experience would be great. I am in Eastern Time Zone, so it would be quite a bit later here on those Fridays, but Saturdays may be possible if everyone is able to do that. I could sure invite you to the Discord if you'd like to get involved in that discussion

That definitely works well enough for me. Please feel free to either  DM me or Discord me (HobGungan#2626) if the slot is still open and see whether or not it's a good match.

Hello, I would be interested in more information and in joining your group. It sounds like a good mix that I would be interested in.

Group preferred: Online/virtual
Experience: New (have never played, but I have watched a lot of D20 and Critical Role
Location/Timezone: Western Colorado/MST
Availability: I prefer Saturday afternoons or late late evenings, (past 8 PM). Makes it easy to work around my schedule and kids.
Preferred role:  Player (I have two created players, but have never done anything with them. One is a Half-Elf Fighter and the other is a Wood Elf Ranger)
Game style: Willing to play just about anything the DM is willing to prepare and make. Time constraints are my biggest worry.

I love the interest! The seats are tentatively filled now, but like a new restaurant, players may vanish before long (if the fit isn't right or schedules don't line up). We're on track to play so far, but in the next 1-2 weeks I'll to reach out here again if anyone decides not to stay. Thanks~
