Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Any Location: Discord and Roll20 Schedule: Every Saturday from 5pm to 9pm EST Roles sought: I am looking for 4 players Game style: World building, Open World, Rp over Combat.
Hi! Welcome to a new collaborative campaign.
Do you want to play in a full-functioning world?
Do you want to feel as though you know the world that you are playing in and you aren't just a stranger to a new world your character is supposed to know?
Do you want to immerse yourself in character development and interpersonal relationships?
Then this is the Campaign for you!
We are looking for 4 players!
About the campaign:
Much like a normal game, I (the DM) will facilitate drama and fun in a fictional world. Unlike a normal game, I have a homebrew world that I've created from scratch. You (the player) will work with the other players in session 0 to create the village that you all are from and some of the NPCs in it. The story of the campaign is largely up to the players. I have things going on in the background constantly and if you choose to interact, you could have an epic story of heroes and villains, or, if not, you can have a simpler (but no less fun) story of travelers and entertainers.
What I am looking for in a player:
1. I am looking for players who want to have fun above all things.
2. A player that is not Combat focused. I am NOT a combat-heavy DM! This is very important to know. Combat happens naturally and I will rarely give you a random combat encounter. Combat for the sake of combat bores me. If you need a healthy amount of combat PLEASE do not apply. I want everyone to have fun and I would hate it if you decided to leave after a couple of months with no combat. It would sadden me.
3. Be willing to develop real characters and real relationships. I love character interaction and development, so if that is your bag PLEASE DO apply.
4. Please be 18+ and mature. This is an 18+ game. There will be mature themes ('Fade to Black' is mandatory.), adult language, violence, and realistic jerks. (IN GAME ONLY)
5. Not a rules lawyer. I am the DM and I may ask clarifying questions, but at the end of the day I have the final say. If I want to allow or disallow something (for good reason), I can.
About the Game:
\- LGBTQ+ is welcomed! If you are uncomfortable with this please do not apply. There will be no tolerance for being rude. Disrespect towards ANY player for ANY reason is unacceptable.
\- If there is something that you are 100% uncomfortable with please let me know after you are accepted. I will not be excluding anyone from consideration for this reason.
\- The game will take place every Saturday at 5 pm EST. Please make sure that you can regularly attend sessions. I will only run for a group of 4 or 5 players, so I'm not particularly eager to run when even one person is missing. That being said, REAL LIFE COMES FIRST and if you have to be absent I understand. If you can, please try to let me know the day before. That way we can talk about what the group would like to do.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. If you are interested in applying, please join my Discord server. It has all the information you need to understand the basics of the world and the application process.
2. If I like your application, I will contact you. From there we will schedule a time to speak, and we will have a 10-minute mini-session to see if we would be a good fit. There may be 1 or more "auditions" if we have multiple excellent applicants.
3. If you have been chosen I will contact you a final time to give you the good news!
I hope you enjoy the premise of Faenor and I look forward to seeing you soon!
This sounds right down my alley. However, I don't currently have Roll20. Before I go adding a server to my already overflowing list, please review my own LFG post. If you approve of my character/race, please let me know in a reply here. Thanks!
Do not bother apply here as the OP is seemingly just stacking people into their Discord. Currently there is 19 people sitting here with two of the 4 slots already taken. These two were picked before anyone so if you want to waste your time and sit around for a week or more, then feel free to come on in! Also the OP fails to mention a little rule they have that if you miss two sessions in the first three months aka. miss 2 games in 12 weeks, YOU WILL BE BOOTED FROM THE GAME. So if you are willing to waste your time and sit around only to be booted because you have to miss a game for any reason, the come on down!
So to say it again, the OP has 19 people sitting around with only 2 spots needing to be filled. And to top it off, if you miss two games in 3 months due to anything they deem not an important reason, you will be booted. I got in and quickly left due to the harsh rules and seeing the true unprofessional ways things are being run. I am sure this will be taken down but if it warns away a few people from honestly wasting their time here, then it is good.
