I'm excited to share that we are open casting for a 4th player to join our investigators as they explore the Barovian Valley. You would be joining a game already in progress.
A little about the game:
This game is streamed live on Twitch. All players should be comfortable on camera and understand Zoom etiquette. The table is small (4 + DM) which we think helps. This also means that preference is given to content creators and those with some history of performance.
The game is Curse of Strahd with the theme and vibe of Brandon Fraser's The Mummy. All characters are humans and the year, as noted, is 1921. The goal is to capture a Lovecraftian feel while still enjoying DND.
Modern Firearms are permitted but with limited ammunition. Generally weapons commonly found in the isolated Barovian Valley are used. See details about the current party below.
We stream from 7-10pm Eastern Time every Sunday. We are hoping to keep to a regular schedule but do understand when things force a missed session. All players understand that we do not play without a full table so an absence effects the entire group.
We are a diverse table and do not tolerate any form of harassment. We have safety tools in place and use them as needed. This applies to players and chat.
The Current party:
The Debutante - (Monk) - Fights with a parasol (quarter staff), hair pins (darts), a long length of silver and pearls (whip) and her raw scrapping learned at finishing school.
The Archeologist - (Rogue) - Fights with a cane sword (rapier)
The Stage Magician - (Warlock) - "So I started blasting..."
The group has just reached the castle after 19 sessions. They are joined by Arabelle, a Vistani teen who fled an arranged marriage, and are prepared (mostly) to begin exploring the castle. More details can be provided so as not to spoil those not familiar with COS already.
The twitch channel is in my signature and many of the episodes are archived on YouTube/

Happy to answer any questions you got. Hit me with a DM or let me know here. The game's publically archived so you can always rewatch old episodes.
The biggest things about the homebrew world is that everything stays "in theme". For example, our Monk is just a young woman with a lot of experience throwing punches and defending herself. Ki Points represent her sheer tenacity. The Ranger (who is leaving our game) used various botanical solutions in lieu of spells ("here, rub this slime on that, it should help the pain") and healing potions are usually a good swig of whiskey.
So it's about keeping the game feeling the same as the original movie with the party pretty much NOT being ready for monsters and zombies but rather always dealing with the "how is this happening" when magic is involved.

Sounds like a blast, I would be interested in joining. If I join I would choose to play as a Deity worshipper, the cleric.

I’m done both YouTube and Twitch before, so I believe I could be quite good at this table.
My discord is Jace Fletcher #3103

We haven't had any divine magic yet. I may reach out to discuss this.
Can you send me a quick PM with the channels?
