I'm a beginner DM with a small group, looking for an extra player. We just finished a short campaign and are getting ready to start a new, longer one. Everyone is relatively new, so it is some trial and error with lots of opportunities to learn with the expectation of patience.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online play-by-post utilizing DnD Beyond (character sheets and dice rolls), Discord (text-based roleplay), and Kanka (reference materials) Experience: New Location/Timezone: Flexible; we are split between EST (US) and GMT (UK) Schedule: We tend to be active on/off all day long across both time zones. You should be able to participate at least a few times a day in order to stay actively involved. Roles sought: Player (1) Age range: 25+ Game style: We are roleplay heavy (est. 70%) with lots of character interactions. The campaign will be homebrewed with resourced components. I try to offer a variety of encounters including puzzles and problem-solving in addition to standard combat. The length of the campaign is unknown but expected to be several months plus.
Campaign Pitch: It's the major solstice festival, Summer's Summit, and everybody within a week of travel from Willowdale, the largest city in the Becren Empire, attends. Did you come for the tournaments, for frivolity, or are you working as a merchant or bard? And what will you do when everything goes wrong?
If interested, please send a private message. Tell me a little about yourself and your character idea:
Your experience with DnD or other RPGs
Why you'd like to join the group
Character pitch - anything you can build on DnDB is a possibility
1. Who are you? (name, description, and key points from your background)
2. What brought you to the festival? How did you arrive? Did you come with anyone or know anyone else there?
3. What drives you? Major goals? Secrets?
4. What holds you back? (fears, weaknesses, people, etc.)
We are hoping to launch the story in about a week.
