Waterdeep... The city of splendour. Blood of long forgotten battles stains the earth beneath the cobbled streets. On these streets children laugh, peddlers sell, business deals and life takes shape for its blissfully ignorant citizens. The Jewel of the North never shone as bright as this. Water runs from taps in the the mansions of nobles, an intricate plumbing network maintained by the plumbers guild - just one of the hundreds of artisan guilds that contribute to the daily function of the city. But factions vie for power - politics, espionage, diplomacy, seduction.
Half a million gold coins are hidden somewhere in Waterdeep. Many know about the cache and are looking for it - it lures fortune seekers from every corner. But then again, that's just a rumour. One of many in the City of Splendours. The city swallows them once they learn that it's no more than a fairy tale. Some become legitimate traders and carve out a modest living. Others fall in with guilds and factions, like the Zhentarim - and take what they feel is owed to them, one way or another. So many come to Waterdeep to carve out a portion of its prosperity as their own - but she does not give willingly.
We? We're the denizens of Waterdeep, the most advanced city on the Sword Coast. Our noble elite? The epitome of sophistication. Our working guilds? The gold standard of craftsmanship. Our queen? Wise and beautiful beyond compare.
DISCLAIMER: The Lords of Waterdeep cannot be held responsible for the flogging, banishment, incarceration, or execution of adventurers who violate the Code Legal, nor are the Lords responsible for the actions of beholder crime lords, unscrupulous nobles, drow swashbucklers, and evil clones. Also, don’t be alarmed by the colossal statues scattered throughout the city. They’re quite safe and haven’t gone berserk in years.
This is an ongoing campaign. Sadly, one of our players can no longer play so looking to fill the spot. The party is currently level 2, and there have been no major plot developments. Party consists of Fighter (Ranged), Barbarian, Cleric, Wizard. This game runs from level 1-5, it is relatively slow paced and levelling will be somewhat slower than you may be used to. Some additional info which may be helpful to you: Despite the name, there are actually very few "Heists" in this adventure. The game has a large social element, but there is also opportunity for combat. We run some house rules in the game and for character creation which makes the game a little harder, too.
A player would fit well with this group, who - is ok with some harder house rules/character creation. Values the RP aspect of the game more than min/maxing or powergaming. Atleast takes some session notes. Would prefer a female player as the table is currently 3 males, 1 female, but its open to all and the previously mentioned points are more important.
When: Mondays, 18:00-22:00 (UK Time)
You need: ○ 21+ ○ Not have played this module before (metagaming sucks) ○ Browser capable of running vtt and discord (our set up probably won't work on mac) ○ An OK mic or headset (no phones, and laptop mics often have fans noise, just a basic headset) ○ EU Timezone (Unfortunately time differences with USA have caused issues in the past) ○ Some experience with basics of dnd ○ Be able to have a quick Session 0 before start for char creation (Should take no more than 30min, on a day before start day) ○ Be OK with some house rules ○ Some idea of a backstory
Please reply if interested. If you have any questions feel free to ask, or if you prefer to talk on discord: Amfibius#8238
Sounds like a lot of fun, UK here too so timings will work well. Moderately experienced as a player and currently running CoS for another group so familiar with the system. Discord DuncanB#8459 drop me a message if you're interested

Sounds like it could be interesting. Discord: Meiwa Ehluna#7659
Would like to discuss your campaign a bit. Thanks.
Also, I consider myself a decent role-player. Not just into hack and slash, so the social elements you mentioned piqued my curiosity.
