Posting this for my boyfriend Kyle who doesn’t have an account here but we’re hoping to start an in-person group in the area:
Fridays at 6pm, bi-weekly, mix of new/some experience/veteran players
“I am a DM looking for players in order to create a D&D group. Any level of experience is welcome and I would want this to be accessible to new players. I have a couple years of history running D&D and also create my own digital maps and other resources that we can use to enhance our sessions. I discourage "metagaming" and crazy builds, and see this as an opportunity for shared storytelling with a group of characters that will hopefully become important to each player. I do not have a space to host the sessions, but I would be willing to rent a private room in a game shop like Game HQ if no one else is able to host either.
In short, I am a DM looking for a group of 4-5~ people to play D&D with, no resources, prior experience, or understanding required, just a desire to have fun and create a story with others.
Game HQ has soundproof private rooms that are $40 for four hours which we could split between all of us after the first session if we still want to use that option. I would pay for the entirety of our first meeting in order to get our first session off the ground and have everyone meet each I’ll also bring snacks for everyone, and we can order food if people want something more substantial. As discussed with our current players in the mix, we hope to begin our first session on Friday the 14th.”
