Hi, I'm llamamangoes and have been wanting to get into D&D for a while now. I don't have any friends who play or want to, so I went on internet and found this forum. I have no clue where to even start. I am in CEST timezone, but can honestly join in almost any time because of irregular schooltimes. 

About me: I am 19 years old and my hobbies include writing, reading, playing games and crocheting. I have no previous experiance with D&D but am a quick learner and pick up on things fast. I currently study education to teach kids when I finish.

Hello, I am a pretty experienced DM, I could show you a couple things to get you started. maybe run a game if we find the people for it. I have a tough schedule at the moment but I am pretty flexible on the days that I do get off. Send me a message if your interested :D.

I would be interested in playing depending on day/time (I'm on eastern time and weekday nights and weekends are best for me).

Hello, right now looks like we are looking at finding people for a very beginner friendly game. At the moment I think best time that works out for the current group is Tuesdays around 6PM CEST, for me that ends up around 9am MDT.

I'm interested, if this is able to be a bit more flexible. Are we talking Play by Post to get started or set times with like Zoom/Discord type action. I would be MST in relation to CEST that is about 8 hours behind llamamangoes.

Hi, we are currently in the procces of setting up a discord server. What do you mean with a bit more flexible, a little bit later is okay I think but earlier is not possible from what I understand.

For the purposes of teaching I think Disco and some sort of VTT would be easiest. Some RP could be play by post, or downtime activities. However, for combat and main story elements it would be easiest and I have the most experience with live sessions.

We also don't know about length that were looking at quite yet, I think it will most likely be a play by feel sort of thing. Starting with a one shot and maybe more if we are working well together.

Meaning if you are in a live session and need live players, judging by Lifesiphon378's post, you would be playing around 9 AM my time every Tuesday, correct? If the player has to be present during that time, I'd have to withdraw my interest as well, for that would be during my work hours. If this was more casual and I could pop in and contribute via Discord when I'm able, then I would do my best to be a regular contributor but obviously wouldn't be able to guarantee set times. Did that make sense, or confuse the issue more?

No that makes sense, I appreciate the interest. I think this will be more of a introductory game, so at least for the first few session it seems like we will need to be in person. Sorry, I appreciate that the hours are strange for most people in american timezones.
