Experience: veteran DM open to new/experienced players

Availability: Sundays.  Midday/ 1200hrs start 4ish hour sessions.

Game style: 50/50 rp/combat/storytelling/Exploration focus (no math though ;) Foundry handles that).

Forgotten Realms Backstory EXPECTED

No: Artificer's/Gunpowder/Spelljammer/Wildemount/Theros/Eberron/Krynn (probably).

No Flying/furry/fetish-fuel/black/blue/red-pilled – this IS an inclusive game.  We're a bunch ranging from late 20s to mid 40s in age.

First and foremost, this is D&D a collaborative, story-based game.

No PvP, no “evil” - old-school heroics aplenty...  Currently we need a Rogue (of some flavour).  We have a Ranger/Cleric, Cleric, Cleric/Druid + Bard/Warlock...  No zealots/religious maniacs though ;)  PM me on here and we can discuss/screen you before getting Discord access.

is homebrew allowed?

I'd generally say "no" unless it's a super-proven/tested Homebrew.
I really don't want to spend my personal time fixing broken, unbalanced homebrew - or even having to find out that it's broken unbalanced.
In my experience of 20+ years "player-generated" Homebrew tends to be an attempt to shoehorn some kind of unfair advantage into the game - and in all honesty it's not RP-friendly.
If you've got a concept for a character - can you not play the character as the Homebrew without burdening the DM with the  mechanical issues?

That's not an outright "no" - but, in my experience it's not been at all fun to DM for - and I'm entitled to fun too.

Think so? I have done it before another campaign.  Though the last one kept changing times,  I hope this one sticks with a time and I will be able to join. I shrug.
