Looking to try getting back into DND after a year long break hoping for a long term campaign

Schedule: Weekends/will discuss with players to see what fits best for everyone
Roles sought: 3-4 Players
Game style: Roleplay Heavy, Plot heavy, combat as the players please

I'm looking to get back into DND after taking a break for a year or so and thought to maybe try running something with more of a focus on an adventure for once! New or old players are all welcome, I do expect some sort of backstory written for your character it doesn't need to be anything incredibly in-depth though of course if it is that's awesome.

Synopsis:

A merchant of some renown has offered a quest, for the past few months a rumour has spread through the empire like wildfire, even in the most remote village there have been talks of it, great lights falling from the skies. On the night of a new moon, the light of the stars seemed to fizzle out and vanish, and in its place there seemed to burn green fires, streaks of emerald which shone upon the earth and fell upon the land in great numbers. Yet what is more curious is that though there were many who seemed infatuated with the idea of procuring a bit of those fallen stars for their own, only a few have returned to tell the tale and those who do all bear differing claims of what they saw. A great spirit, a loved one long lost, the great kings of old, not one of their accounts has ever overlapped. This phenomenon which was witnessed across the empire of remingder, has piqued the interest of a merchant by the name of Elheim. Through other sources, he's learned that at least one of the emerald stars has fallen near the great mountain range of Hallion, he's offered you a sizeable amount of coin and perhaps some other reimbursement if you are able to bring a sample of what fell on that night back to him enough to fill up a barrel to half at minimum.

The campaign will use roll20 and discord, message me your discord and I'll send a friend request and we can talk a little to see if we fit well! I'd prefer it if you had something of an idea of what sort of character you'd like to play as well. Homebrew and other sorts of things are totally welcome just run them by me first so I can work with you together on them.
