The game is set in a homebrew world with associated campaigns and adventures. Those playing will experience a series of campaigns that will take them from level 1-20+ if they desire. The game is open to players of all levels of experience in D&D in general and playing D&D online.
The world itself is composed of mythic fantasy with elements of steampunk and sci-fi. The campaigns and world can include equal parts combat, exploration, and social interaction, but will be tailored to my players’ preferences for each group.
The game will start with a campaign titled The Appetizer.
The Appetizer:
In the northwestern region of Aquus, the Freshwater Kingdom, lies the city of Lastound. A fortified trade city whose residents maintain a constant drone of production and motion to survive the harsh landscape existing external to the city’s walls. In this region, a change has been felt. An upheaval of the delicate calmness can be sensed by those in tune with the natural and magical worlds. The pot is beginning to boil.
Payment:
The game will cost $15 (USD) per session per player for a time frame of 3-4 hours.
This payment assures that I will be on time and produce content that creates memorable and unique moments that considers each specific character.
The first session is free of charge and will include actual game play although to a lesser extent as compared to a normal session.
Time Slots:
Monday-Sunday, 7:00-11:00 pm
It is possible to play more than once a week if enough individuals have interest in doing so.
Character Creation and Leveling:
Players will be allowed to utilize any races, classes, or subclasses listed in the MToF, PHB, TCoE, UA, VGtM, XGtE, and the Bloodhunter class. If there is a desire to use another class, race, or subclass from a non-mentioned source, please contact me for approval.
Character ability scores can be rolled or the standard set of scores (15,14,13,12,10,8) can be utilized. If the ability scores are rolled, a total score of 80 cannot be exceeded when the scores are summed. Furthermore, when a player has earned enough levels to reach an ability score improvement, the summed total of their scores cannot exceed 80.
At the appropriate class levels required to achieve an ability score improvement, the amount of available points has been reduced from the normal 2 to 1.
A feat is taken at level one with a player gaining additional feats at player levels 4, 8, 12, and 16. Feats are granted according to player level and not class level, so if a player multiclasses, feats will be granted when their total level reaches the ascribed values.
Game Atmosphere:
I attempt to create an atmosphere of enjoyment for each and everyone of my players. Thus, I will not tolerate harassment of any kind that poisons the game and the players. Any type of discrimination, sexism, racism, xenophobia, or any other type of harassment will be grounds for removal from the game.
About the GM:
I have been involved in D&D for 4 years as a content creator, game master, and/or player.
As a game master, I attempt to use different voices and accents to pull individuals into the game. I am by no means a voice actor, but I do my best. I also appreciate the use of comedy (sometimes dark) to accent a session along with insane moments. Furthermore, I do not change dice rolls, and am a big proponent of allowing tragic moments to occur due to a poor dice rolls. It enhances the intensity, which is a pillar of the type of game play of desire.
I attempt to epitomize the word giving as a game master. I am generous with loot/treasure and with the difficulty of most situations. I want my games to be intense and rewarding, which generates memorable moments that cling to the members.
Players have called me in the past “excited about D&D” and I try to bring that excitement to everyone playing in my games. I want everyone to enjoy themselves as much as I do in a session, whether that be through intensity, laughter, or unique situations. I do my best to provide joy through this method of recreation.
Feedback is important to me and I will regularly ask players what they think of the current situation in the game and any concerns regarding the running of the game itself. I appreciate feedback of all types, specifically constructive feedback that can help improve the game session for at least the individual mentioning it.
I have a background in engineering and physics which almost forces me to learn and build from a position of detail orientation. Thus, everything I create has been considered logically, so that it completely fits and makes sense within the scope of the current situation.
