“Ahhh Waterdeep,” you think to yourself as you wander down the bustling clamor of the High Road on your way to the infamous haunt of fellow adventure seekers, the Yawning Portal, “City of Splendours and a truly buzzing, vibrant metropolis where the fame and fortunes of many an adventurer were made… and lost, broken, shattered… but my story will be one of success, great fortune and legendary heroics! I will make a name for myself here.” 

You saunter past Castle Waterdeep with it’s many soaring pointed towers streaming with long narrow flags, each held captive by the great slouching shadow of the mountain bearing the cities name. As you take in the faint tang of salt from the soothing sea breeze, you just catch sight of the famed inn’s red tiled roof which almost seems ablaze in the setting sun and, clutching the improbable letter in your hand, you wonder:

“What the bloody hells does this Volo want with me? What if it’s a trap… it seems far too good to be true.”

Another part of you, however, whispers seductively:

“But what if this is it? What if this is the first step on your path to fame and glory? It couldn’t hurt to find out, could it? And honestly, what’s the worst that could happen!?”

 But why pay to play D&D???

Yes, this is a hobby. It’s best when enjoyed around a physical table with a group of nerdy friends who love to get goofy and have fun together for free… but, if you can’t manage to get a bunch of your friends around the table every week due to scheduling OR you feel anxious heading to the local game store OR you’ve read the D&D greentexts about joining games online and you have been harrowed by some people’s experience… that’s where a professional DM like myself comes in.

You know what you’re going to get:

• A safe play environment that utilises safety tools so you can be comfortable getting silly and creative with your character.

Dedicated Discord Server for your party with separate channels for RP, Character Spotlight and Player Feedback which helps me really hone in on the game you want to experience.

I hop into a private call with each player to dive into your character, their backstories and how to tie you into the module and setting. This doesn’t end after this call, I have an open door policy for anything character related. Have a cool idea for your character’s story or want to plan something in secret? You can contact me any time and we’ll work it in.

All official classes/races/subclasses are acceptable and we can, of course, discuss any homebrew possibilities!
