I'm looking for a player to join our beginner friendly group. I'll gladly explain the rules as we play. We'll be using Roll20, so you'll need an account. And we use Discord for chat. 

Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online
Experience: any
Location/Timezone: Roll20 and BST British Summer Time)
Schedule: Thursday @ 8pm BST for 2 hours
Roles sought: Any
Game style: an Informal friendly atmosphere with plenty of adult humour. I'm about to start the Keys from the Golden Vault campaign, so you'll need to create a 1st level character, any class/race is permitted.

1.) I do not have the module but I have the basics like the: Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, Tasha's Cauldron,etc. Will that be sufficient or does the module you are running have specific rules for character create?

2.) It say's played online. Is there a discord sever you will be using? if not what was planned platform?

You can create a character here on D&D Beyond, so the basic books are fine. Yes, we'll be using Discord for voice to which I'll send you an invite. We use Roll20 for everything else. If you're new to Roll20 I'll take you through everything. Just one question: what's your level of experience with the game?

Thank you for replying so quick. To answer your question, I have played d&d for a few years but I fell off when the pandemic hit. I have been here trying to reacquaint myself to the systems but I learn quickly. I have used Roll20 before, however I always have a hard time transferring my character over from DDB. Though sometimes I wonder if that is just user error lol.
