Hi everyone!

The Gilded Flask is soon launching a new adventure live on Twitch, Youtube and various podcasts!

After an amazing first season where we played through the Curse of Strahd, we are now moving to a new story full of awesome content.
Unfortunately, one of our castmembers had to step down, which means we have room for a new hero to join us!

We are currently in the preparatory phase of the new campaign, and we will ofcourse take you along with everything. You will become part of a team of enthusiastic roleplayers who really enjoy sharing a story with the world! Just as with last season, we are keeping the team small, so everyone has enough time to shine and develop a character.

You do not have to be a streamer or content creator though if you are that is ofcourse fine!

Other than that, we have a few pointers for what our ideal hero would have:

• You can roleplay! We will balance fight scenes with exploration and RP, and are looking for someone who can be their character! (creativity is a big plus!)
• Your timezone / availability vibes with ours. Our stream / recording time is 5.30pm EST - 9.30pm EST on saturdays (but we can discuss!) Reliability is key!
• Your mastery of the english language is proficient enough to roleplay!
• Being part of a group of peers. We are not looking for a pack mule, but an equal share of everything that makes us a team! This means we'd love for you to have additional skills to bring to the table. We create our own intro's, manage our own channels etc. If you have Social media skills that is a BIG Plus!
• Webcam and good microphone are a necessity. We'll be either using green screen or nVidia Broadcast's background removal to make our portraits look synced.
• We'll be using D&D Beyond, and FoundryVTT.
• 18+ is highly preferred

G'day mate. I'm Alex Parslow, I'm 23 and male. I'm from Australia and completely free to play on Saturdays. I speak English and English, I failed language class at school lol. A bit about me, I'm creative and a team player. I've been playing dnd for a few years now and I've also started running my own games last year so I've got a great grasp on the rules of dnd. I'm funny and quirky, I can make people either laugh with me or at me. I'm also super into roleplay and get fully immersed in the character I'm playing, i can even do voices for my characters if needed to. Hello, I am interested in joining your campaign. I have created some content on YouTube but not much. I’ve been playing rpg’s forever and really enjoy the aspect of the adventure. I have some basic knowledge of what it takes to edit and build content that is viable. Saturdays is the perfect time for me as I work nights. I can get into a character really easily and rp whatever aspects of that character are needed. My typical go to characters are barbarians and or spell casters. Hey, y'all! Name's Carter Thornton. I'm a 24 year old sociology student and DnD player of about 8 years now with numerous campaigns under my belt, including a campaign in which I DM'ed for about 2 years, and I am currently DM'ing a homebrew game on Sunday at 6 pm CST. I am an aggressively passionate roleplayer with a love for character writing, and I have written my fair share of fantasy stories in my spare time. I also have moonlighted as a voice actor for several fan projects in the past, so I have some skill when it comes to making unique voices for my characters. I possess both a webcam and a microphone and I am dying to share my talents with a team of similarly skilled roleplayers looking to entertain.

I've been playing for 2 years, I've got implacable reliability, I've never missed a game. I'm 39 work from home and no family/kids to require my attention. My favorite things to do are tell stories and do voices for my characters, typically based on regional accents protected from different parts of my mouth.

My D&D experience started originally in 1989, but didn't really get into until 2003, then had a gap from 09-16 or so when got back into it again.  I also have played and enjoyed other TTRPG games, and game mechanics, such as savage worlds, Aliens RPG, Pathfinder, ICON, Necessary Evil, Deadlands, CoC, etc.

I have a personal preference more of the RP - and I like exploration to a degree, it gets discarded as one of the 3 pillars usually. I have no class/race preference for what I play, and tend to find that sometimes the concepts I thought would be least interesting grow and develop to be the best characters with how they interact and grow with the characters and world around them. What I thought would be a simple conquest Paladin to be a LMoP tank, turned out to be a "take things quite literally" face who is the party leader (rule with an iron fist), and has done things like tree throwing contests with trolls as a distraction while his party pilfers a meteor, wrestling a white dragon wyrmling to the ground so that it could be detained (the sorcereress enslaved it later), Solo'ing the Black Spider for 13 rounds, with 1 nat 20 death save mixed in while the rest of the party struggled with the "small fry". To negotiating the release of a hostage by mishearing a question and answering it as he thought he heard it. Team player who plays his character as if he is his character. (grates on some people when trying to find groups)

Here's some fun facts about myself:

I'm a washed up former minor league baseball player. I never graduated HS, but have 3 college degrees and am working on a masters. I was in a nintendo commerical back in 1988 after placing 3rd in a regional Nintendo tournament. I think some of the stupidest things are funny, like a kenku barbarian that thinks a Crowbar is the greatest invention ever, and they berserkly use it to Slash, Jab, and then make a ripping/throwing (prying) motion to attack. But have No idea, and are in disbelief, that a crowbar can actually be used for actual crowbar intended purposes, which looks similar to their attack pattern to begin with. Rangers are my favorite 5e class. Playing a bard, back in 2019, I made a full length parody song of "call me maybe" called "Questing Daily"  

Ok, I’ll bite and keep it brief.

Long-time player (since 1977) and have owned and played all editions of the D&D game.  Somewhat a lore junkie for certain settings, and currently active as both a player and a DM in 5 edition.   While I do like a little crunch in my games, I am much more vested into the stories they can tell, both within the planned game/setting and improvisation between players.  Many of these are captured in Fan Fiction stories you can find linked below.

Never tried streaming before, but I have done some amateur stage acting, and have done live TV for Public-access television - Wikipedia as a host about computer games long ago.  So I’m not one for stage fright or nerves on camera.

I'm from the UK and typify all that's good/bad about it; moan about weather, love tea etc. I'm very interested in seeing if I can add an extra dynamic to your existing party. I've had a look at some of your stream and I'm keen to be involved.

I played a fair bit when I was younger (42 now and this was about 20 years ago)  and have recently started playing again with a group of unreliable but wonderful friends. I have a lot to learn about 5e but am happy to get stuck in. I like that your post calls out getting into the character as I like a developed back story and character depth. I enjoy the narrative as much as the combat so its nice to see adoption of character. 

I'm happy to play any role; support, tank, front person, sniper etc. 

I've not used foundryvtt but I work in tech so I can pretty easily adapt. Times are great for me as I often have to go to Europe for work in the week so weekends are the perfect time. 

Would be good to get a chance to chat and even if you pick somebody else it's still great to speak and connect with like minds.

On a side note I've looked at the other comments and if you're going to pick a person based on how good their name looks on a twitch stream: Carter Thornton! Well done sir, excellent work.
