Story Setting: (Quick Prologue)
Dark dreams plague you...
In the midst of a long nights sleep, you find yourself paralyzed, stuck inside an inky abyss, unable to escape from this nightmare. A familiar voice fills your mind, whispers to you softly at first... "friend.. you...find me... help. Help. SAVE ME!" Shadows and tendrils of bloodied magic reach out to grab you, twisting around your neck. The life begins to drain from your body as your throat nears collapse and death seems pull you closer to its embrace.. The voice from the darkness seems grow fainter, the words repeating.. "SAVE ME... Save me.... save me...ₛₐᵥₑ ₘₑ
But suddenly you are awake. Light fills your eyes and air fills your lungs as your mind struggles to let go of the horrid dreams you just awoke from. Only a dream you say to yourself..
Until a knock at your door. The city guard stands outside your home, demanding that you answer. Though rattled and groggy from your restless sleep, you manage to pull yourself up and shuffle toward the entrance. Upon opening the door, a captain of the guard stands before you with a parchment of paper and shackles. Fear grips your bones as you are informed that the murder of one of your most trusted friends, Reginald, has taken place and you are now a prime suspect. Bewilderment has rendered you speechless as the captain demands your compliance and chains your hands, leading you off towards the city prison.
As you are led through your home city like a common criminal, your mind cannot help but race. How could your dearest friend be dead? Why would I be a suspect? More and more thoughts invade your mind and deep in your gut, a feeling begins to well up inside you. A feeling that will not let go and buries worry into your entire being. Something is amiss...
From there the story shall begin!
