So, I've lately been hankering to DM an old school campaign, for some reason some old 2E modules have been on my mind. Several I played as a player and others that were classics I never played.
The multi-campaign scope I have planned would be 1st lvl through high levels (18th). I'm looking for a group of players with the right vibe for me. Ideally, with others who are interested in DMing other scenarios as well.
2e is AD&D, but it is a simple or limited system we could play it straight--2e is fun, and these modules I'm picking are classics. Or with the right group I could see updating it and cooking up some homebrew variant or playing it in an accelerated way.
The first, module starts with the cliché of a sleepy rural village in trouble where very little is as it seems.
An inexperienced group of adventurers, you've heard some rumors and with no better prospects, your group has spent several days walking to the town to investigate.
Not sure if you've found a group yet, but I am looking to start a group in West Bloomfield. Veteran DM, been playing over 20 years. Let me know if you're still looking.
I'm not very experienced with DND beyond myself, I am just using the forum to recruit locally. If you're looking for a game in the Detroit Metro I'm in West Bloomfield and I can send you a message with more details for my game. If you're looking for something online I'm not someone with the knowledge to be any help.
Hi Oldschool_Newschool, I have ended up getting a group put together. Currently there are three of us. We will be playing at Gate Keeper Games in Berkley every other Sunday 1 - 5 starting July 30th. Plan is to run 5th edition, we're going to discuss the specific setting at the first session. I have a lot of different campaign ideas and am willing to run something different from any of them so it seemed best to talk it over as a group to decide what would be the best fit for everyone. Send me a message if you want any additional details.
Hi WB, Were you able to fill up your gamer group? I would be interested if you are still looking. Im an old DnD gamer that recently started getting up to speed on 5e.
We have three players now but we would like more. We had our first session last Sunday. It sounds like a player will be out of town for the next scheduled Sunday so we might skip to the 27th. We'll be meeting at Gate Keeper games every other Sunday from 1 - 4.

Just wondering if anyone in the Detroit suburbs is getting a game going?

Seems like there is a group here.
I'd be down with playing. I'm in the midst of a divorce, so I live in that one-bedroom divorced man apartment so I can't host.
We could reserve rooms at a library or play at someone's house.
