Now looking for D&D5E players on Thursday mornings at 8am! DM of 30+ years experience in D&D, AD&D, RPG and MMORPG gaming! New and experienced are welcome! All gaming supplies provided! Meet and play in a public place!
I've never actually played before, so I guess I'm up for whatever. I think I'd prefer something longer than just a few sessions. Playing in person would be better for me as well. My biggest concern is winding up in a group full of teenagers (nothing against teenagers, but I think it would be awkward being the only old guy at the table).
Does anyone have a place in mind? The only place I can think of is the library. But there's no guarantees there. I can always ask them and see if that would be a possibility.
There are a couple of stores that sell D&D-type stuff in town. There's a place called Hero's Haven that just relocated into the old CD Jungle in the Appleseed Center. I stuck my head in there the other day, and they've got some tables set up that could work for a game if they don't have anything else going on. The other store is The Realm on 4th St., but I don't know if they have the space to sit down and play.
Yeah, pretty much any gaming store in the area focuses on trading card gaming though. There's not a place in the Mansfield area like The Malted Meeple in Hudson. You can have private rooms/tables... there's food, etc. etc plus a very active DnD schedule going on there... Unfortunately, it's like over an hour away.
We can search on some of the gaming apps, see if there's anywhere near. Or just brainstorm a place that would work for everyone.

Hey, are you still doing this or playing D&D in general in Mansfield?
Curious as well, I'm in Ashland and LFG (new player)
Still doing this? New player need to learn how to actually play now that I have built a character
I have a character I'd like to try out. I live in Mansfield.
I'm just going to leave a comment to see if this thread goes anywhere.
Well, it may go somewhere. Who knows? What types of game are you all interested in?
More interested in in person groups. Those are always fun. And it doesn't really matter what kind of campaign as long as I'm playing in it. lol

For sure. I need a group that can joke but be serious when needed.
More than interested! I just moved to this area and would love to make new friends through an amazing adventure!
Are you a player or DM?
Does anyone have ideas on when or where they'd like a potential game to happen? I'm free most evenings.
I'm a highschool art teacher, so yes, a group of adults would be wonderful.
Weekend nights work better here.
