Intro

 Hi! I have been playing  D&D 5e for a year and I decided to try DMing. It is set in a fantasy/steampunk setting. This being a oneshot, I won't talk much about the story here. This is a 100% homebrew horror oneshot (except for SOME of the ennemies). I made all of the roll20 map (dynamic lighting, asset placement, etc). I made the entire story. I made a google doc of 23 pages containing multiple outcomes, loot placement, decision, interactions, etc. That being said, I am a new DM and I 100% expect it to go sideway. If you have any quesitons, feel free to ask down below.

Player rules:

• Everything said in Discord WILL be heard in game
• Roleplay your character (no different voice required but if you want to do it, go for it)
• The oneshot is designed to be scary so try to not ruin the atmosphere by cracking jokes non-stop
• I will not stop you from TRYING to do ANYTHING. However, there will be consequences. Here is an example. You ask a king to give you his crown. If you rolled a 1 you would get decapitated. If you rolled a 10, you would get thrown in jail. If you rolled a nat20, the king would laugh at your joke.

Character creation rules:

• The players won't be able to see in the dark by themselves using passive such as darkvision and spells such as light will only display 10 total feet of light. This oneshot is horror themed and darkness will play a big part of it, therefor you can choose races and classes giving you those abilities but they won't be allowed in game.
