Hello! I think the players’ relationships are more important than the world we will build, so let me introduce myself. I’m a 41 yr old Irish-Australian, who found a love for TTRPG reading webcomics. My first GM experience was playing GURPS with a meetup dot com random group of strangers, and we played a hilarious role play heavy game to it’s finale. I’m still friends with some of those people. I’ve played in game stores, at home, at somebody else’s home, I’ve DM’d GURPS, Star Wars, Pathfinder, DnD5e and played as a PC nearly as much, with newbies and veterans alike.
I don’t like to get bogged down in tactical battle maps (but I leave that for Warhammer 40k) and as much as I want to home-brew my own ruleset, I’ll play with D&D since its more accessible. I think the story we create is more important, and I’ll often fly by the seat of my pants with gameplay elements, to allow the Player Characters to really do whatever they wish, and not railroad them, or fishhook the story with my own grandiosity. The best campaign is the one that goes where even the DM thinks it might not go.
That’s not to say I haven’t fleshed out a world, I have. There’s fleshed out characters, enemies if you will, that have their own desires and schemes, but we all know once a plan hits the ground it goes to water and the first to react and shift gears will end up getting their plans to fruition, or will they?
I don’t mind if people are new to the game, but I do mind if not everyone’s time and energy is respected. I don’t mind if you are much younger than I am, as long as you let me tell my lame jokes. I’m not ageist and I would hope neither are you! I’m also more based than woke, so if you think that might bother you, best if you just move along…
Leave a comment, and I’ll send you a direct message; Or, send me a direct message regardless!
US based and free 3 Saturday mornings a month due to work. I am a teller of lame Dad jokes, roleplay a lot, help my party succeed with a little bit of power gamer combat wise.
my adult daughter might be interested as well. She is a new mom so needs a group okay with her having to get up to take care of the baby.
Something of a chronic troublemaker when I get ideas but not <hopefully> chaotic stupid. I'd like to possibly get in on this. Not going to lie most of my DnD experience is with people I know so looking to branch out to people I don't know so I can be more comfortable in a character's role.
I'm US based so what's be a saturday morning could work for me.

If you have any openings I would be happy to play.

This sounds like a lot of fun if you still have an opening

More DM's sent! Getting close to having enough players now, if all goes well... we have 4 maybe 5 and 5 players would be ideal.

Keen to play my first-ever game.
I probably have the same jokes you do.
Kiwi in Aus AEST, and I don't sleep Sat/Sun as it is my only free time to chill and play Rimworld or something for hours
@ mishkamay13 : DM sent!
@ latecomers : I think we have enough players now, all things considered.
I'll post again if a spot opens up, and you can join a level or three below the party.
