Greetings!
So the title says it all, but to clarify; I'm looking for a PbP party to include my character, Richard "Smasher" McIrontaint, in. A few things about Richard.
1) Richard is not exactly what you'd call a serious character. He was designed for D&Ding with my friends, all of which are a little ridiculous themselves. We had ZERO idea what we were doing at conception 6 months ago and it's barely better now. With that said, it's important to know that he's close to OP. Not exactly OP, but close to it. We wound up doing random inventories from the complete list of items on the site and he got chainmail, a breastplate, and a shield that he wears on his back, so his armor class is pretty high... 25. (I feel like that's high anyway). On top of that, he killed an orc that had a greataxe that did +11 to rolls and 1d12+4 damage. At this point he has accumulated a pretty vast arsenal of decent weaponry.
2) Richard causes problems. He's...basically a murderhobo. He also doesn't think things through very well. Richard is GREAT in a fight and is well behaved in a situation where the party has a strong leader that will tell him when and when not to do things, but sooner or later you'll wind up in a LEROY JENKINS scenario. He's essentially a tank. He runs into the fight, absorbs all the attacks, and causes insane amounts of up close damage while everyone else moves in and out with special attacks or tears the enemy line apart with concentrated ranged attacks etc. He does require some upkeep; Richard tends to take most of the damage, like I said, so he needs frequent healing. Sometimes he even has to be dragged out of the fight.
3) Richard will take care of you. Seriously. His party is his family. He may gripe about it, sigh, say all sorts of mean things to you, but he'll give up everything to drag you to safety if it comes to that.
4) Richard is looking for a good time. No, not your mother. I'm looking to include him in something that is challenging but also entertaining / funny. I don't want to be too serious, as in I'm not looking to play with Rules Lawyers or people who's farts don't stink. I have a deep respect for storytelling and RPing as well as the mechanics system, but if one little rule is bent or something silly happens then that's just funny to me.
5) Richard uses bad language. I use bad language. So much bad language. I won't really fit into a PG or even PG13 crowd. For example, Richard's hobby is cutting off the testicles of his fallen rivals. He also sung a parody of the country song "Going through the Big D" that went "I've got a big D don't mean Dallas, this Orc Warden's gonna suck on my phallus" in his first fight. Like I said before, he may say bad things to your character, but I want to make sure I'm clear about one thing; I wouldn't say anything to purposefully degrade, hurt, or offend anyone. It's only fun and games and in character.
6) Richard is looking for a diverse party. In the past the majority of the characters he has adventured with have been Rangers, Rogues, and Bards, with the exception of a Druid and a Cleric. The previous party's have literally been primarily the three former archetypes I mentioned, usually 2 or more of each. Richard is fine with adventuring with these characters in the future as well! But I'd really love to see him mixed in with some magic users as well! On that note, any party size is acceptable, but I'd rather run him with five or six-ish others just for shiggles.
7) Richard is currently level 5, but I can adjust up or down for whatever game you guys come up with.
Let me know if anyone is interested in adding Richard to a game that is a little less than serious. I can post pretty regularly, probably a few times a week as everyone else posts, and I'm not opposed to getting Discord or whatever for group discussions between posts.
(Also, sorry, I posted this last night and made a mess of it so I took it down and fixed it...)
