Looking for a group between 8pm-1am EST tuesdays or thursdays

I'm looking for a group to play DnD with. I'm 38 years old and a father so i value consistency (or a fair heads up if a session is cancelled) above all else when it comes to an online DnD group. I've been playing DnD for a long time, my experience ranges from 3rd edition all the way to 5th. I am a consistent player and rarely (if ever?) miss sessions. I think of myself as an avid roleplayer as well as a character creation enthusiast. Yes, I min/max (I'm an engineer by trade, so I enjoy tuning and optimizing). One of my favourite things to do is sit on beyond and make random characters. I feel no shame or regret that I min/max, character creation and theorycrafting is a huge part of the fun factor of DnD for me. That said I'm a pretty adaptable guy, in every campaign I've ever played I've been really lucky to have played with like minded individuals who like to roleplay and build powerful characters.

I always enjoy working alongside DM's to craft a backstory that's steeped in the lore of the DM's world. Some of the most enjoyable experiences I've had as a player is diving deep into the lore of the world created by creative DMs. I've DM'd 2 campaigns of my own, one of which was a campaign of over 3 years. The longest campaign I've ever played was 5 years, the shortest was 9 months.

I'm looking for similarly aged/minded players that enjoy roleplay and lore delving, as well as making situations fun with creative problem solving. I'm happy to answer any and all questions I may not have answered in my post.

Well, you are an almost perfect match. There are a few issues and that is mostly that the group I am inviting you into is not of similar age, Maturity though is another thing. I am not a strict DM and I allow some flexibility in character creation, If you have an idea of a character but are unsure about it ask me about it and I will see if I can make it work or not. The campaign is PBP so no set time but I would like to have one update a week at least unless otherwise stated. If I didn't drive you away the campaign is set in a dark sci-fi/ high fantasy theme with darker tones and graphic violence, I tend to over-detail the details. here is the hook 
These are strange times, what was once thought to be impossible is now possible. Eternal night has fallen the dark chilling the air both physically and metaphorically. strange creatures have appeared seemingly unkillable by a normal blade, though something seems off they seem intelligent? something has caused them to appear and something is causing death to run free like a plague. only the strong remain when the Eternal darkness arrives.
