Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New and Beginner Players Location/Timezone: Discord and Roll20, 7PM Pacific/10PM Eastern Schedule: 2 Hours, Once a week; Tuesday evenings; official start date TBD (within the next 2 weeks or so) -- Estimated 4-5 sessions.
Roles sought: LF up to 6 players to join -- New and Beginner players welcome. We will use our first session (Session 0) as a way to introduce the adventure, go over basic rules and systems, and build characters together.
Game style: Keys from the Golden Vault are heist-style adventures -- think "Oceans Eleven" or "Mission Impossible" -- where a crew is assembled together to retrieve a MacGuffin (special item) on behalf of the person who hired them. Together they must gather information and resources to come up with and execute their plan. As with any heist, there are plenty of twists, turns, and traps along the way. If the crew is successful, riches and glory await. If unsuccessful, who knows what might happen! Heist-style adventures are great for new and beginner DnD players because they provide the opportunity for strategy and teamwork while still providing opportunities for combat. As a DM my hope is to build a friendly and fun experience for everyone with plenty of laughs along the way.
If you are interested in learning how to play DnD or are looking for a shorter campaign that's still plenty of fun -- then this is the adventure for you!
Payment: This adventure will be free to play, but DM tips are always appreciated.
Diversity and Belonging: In an effort to support new and beginning players, as well as the gaming community at large, this campaign is designated as a safe space for all including LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent, BIPOC, and other individuals. Harassment and discrimination will not be allowed and the DM will have the right to address and/or remove players who are considered a disruption to the campaign. Be kind, be awesome.
