Group type: Online | Discord Voice calls + Roll20 Battlemaps
Experience: I have nearly a decade of experience DMing
Location/Timezone: EST (We play entirely online so do not let timezones prevent you from playing )
Schedule: Saturdays form 8pm-11:30PM EST
Roles sought: Looking for 3 Players
Game style: I run player focused campaigns where players are able to interact and change the world, story, and narratives through their own choices. My favorite style of session is when all players are able to interact with the world and narrative, explore new things, and develop their connections to the world and each other
My campaigns typically have a 70/30 split between roleplay and combat with a heavy emphasis on roleplay.
Welcome to my alternative take on Curse of Strahd, taking inspiration from Bloodborne and authors like Robert W. Chambers and Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Bloodborne. It also takes inspiration from the 1900s, especially the prohibition era and the era of mobsters. The industrial age has flourished within this world, making way for technology like firearms, steam engines, and even the earliest forms of electricity have developed. This game will be a heavily altered world of Curse of Strahd. Those familiar with the module will see many familiar faces and key locations, but a lot of it has been changed to fit this vision.
Description of Game:
The year is 1530, the Industrial Revolution is in full swing, and both the prohibition and the blockade has just kicked in. The Scourge, a dreadful curse placed upon the land and it's people, has taken over, transforming people and animals into mindless monsters, whose singleminded goal is your blood. Werewolves, vampires, and darker entities now roam at night, but they are the least of your concerns.m
The myriad of crime families constantly vie for control and power on the streets and the large black market. Their top priority is the for the wealth in the pockets of both the wealthy, and the destitute; freely hurting anyone or any business that refuses their way.
Horror and atrocities, birthed from both humanity and the dark recesses of the cosmos flourish within the landscape.
Welcome to Barovia... We will see if you survive.
