Hello there :)

I am based in New Zealand and am a reasonably experienced experienced DM who has also played from the other side (the players) quite a bit so I have a good idea of what (I hope)

players like. I am character centric in my campaigns and create my campaign based around the character and tend to create my own worlds and not run premade campaigns, however, 

I do use resources from DND beyond and am at the highest subscribed level here, and have a lot of content, which I could share with anyone who joins so that everyone has access to 

everything I have. This would be my third DND session online, so therefore I will need to get more familiar with websites/programs, such as Roll 20. I also have one other player already

who has joined in my own country, and the minimum I would like is three players, so if even two were keen we could get going! I am probably looking for one session of about 4 hours or more (if desired) every 2 weeks, unless the group unanimously agrees for an extra session i.e. one two weeks in a row.

Hi! I'm pretty green and this would be my first time playing, but I'm very excited and dedicated. I've  been interested for a few years but finally caved this weekend and bought the core rule book set and essential starter kit, I literally spent the past weekend reading the digital copy of the player's handbook and creating a few characters while I awaited delivery lol 🙈. I'm based in EST in Canada, right now the only day I have guaranteed off 95% of the time is Monday, anything else is variable. 

I would like to join if that is fine. This would be my first ever dnd game, also I live in America and my Timezone is EST (if that is needed) I should be free Monday-Friday passed 3:30PM EST and about passed 9AM EST on Weekends.

I'm currently confirming a few things with the other guy from NZ, but it would be brilliant to have both of you along!

I'm more than happy to Zoom or whatever works and help with Character Creation and anything else you need.

For both of you, but especially Ivy, just in case you missed part of my previous message (although i'm not saying you did! Haha) 

I have access to many of the DND source books, and purchase them a bit as DND is my absolute favorite thing haha.  Therefore, you can have access to many things digitally, including the Player Handbook, Monster Manual and many variations (play as a vampire if you wish!). I am master tier which means you do not have to pay for any of them and so long as you are in my campaign on DND beyond you will have access to all these materials :)

As a person, I consider myself quite patient, and actually really like teaching so don't worry at all if it takes a while to pick up, it's no inconvenience at all!

If Monday is guaranteed off for you Ivy then we can try and make that work perhaps? Variability doesn't matter but it sounds like a week day would be preferable for my friend who is also playing. Also, he is very experienced, even more than me I think, so as a player he will help a lot to (he's a lovely guy)

We don't have to play on the same day every week or at the same time, life is life after all, but if there is a time everyone can make each week it may be easier for all of us, no pressure though! We can make it work i'm sure. 

The biggest thing is working out time zones, for you Ivy I am currently not sure which time would work best for you in your timezone? 

I'm very flexible and my time zone is NZST.

Looking at Needy's time zone, 7:30 weekdays would work but the one on the weekend would be at 1am so that would be.. difficult haha. 

This is at least according to my calculations, I believe NZ is 18 hours ahead or something like that lol.
So 7:30 could work, but it wouldn't be possible for my friend from NZ who starts work early at that time.

Anyway, we can try and figure it out, but hopefully we can negotiate and find something that works! 

Thanks again, I really hope we can make it work! I know it's a little crazy with the time difference but with some luck we can make things happen.

Worst case scenario, my friend doesn't play, after all, he does have a massive preference for in-person, which may make him not be keen.

Week days would fit in better for me as well, I work 2/3 weekends currently. Most of my shifts are evenings starting at 3-4pm, but I get my schedule well in advance so we could definitely plan around it. I'm currently chatting with 2 other DMs about games on Mondays (one is flexible for days) so I'll keep you informed as well if anything changes on my end availability-wise. I know the time difference would probably be the biggest obstacle 😅.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding I meant 3:30 PM EST - 10 PM EST on weekdays and 9 AM EST - 10 PM EST (also btw New Zealand is 16 hours ahead of EST. You did the math right but didn’t get the correct answer. (What I mean by that is you got it correct on how 9 AM for me was 1 AM for you and you get the rest))

Heyo im fairly new (Played 3 campaigns online) and would definitely be interested im from AUS so our timezones are pretty much the same give or take a hour or 2. have a year of 5e experience and have been told i am a pretty good role player.

my thing is my job, i am eastern us time and work 9am-5pm Monday thru Friday so the only game i could probably play that would work with new zeland time would be during the day on a weekend or something,

my current campaign runs on Monday nights from 7-12 well we are suposed to start at 7 but most folks don't get in until 8

I have been very sick over the last few days, moved to a new house,  my internet went down, and actually wrote a response before trying to edit the title and it was completely deleted!

Needy: My apologies for not understanding the time zone difference, I deeply appreciate the correction! The week time would have to be slightly later for me as I work briefly at 7 with my Grandad as I am a home carer, and, from the new calculations you have given me, it would be 7 am for me, therefore, if you were happy doing around 4:30 your time that could definitely work on a week day, as that would be around 8:30am for me which works very well. If you could send me a private message, as I understand you would prefer discord I will give you my username.  

Ivy: Thank you for the response, week days could definitely work, regarding my friend it may be difficult, but there is a possibility that he could step in as a memorable NPC or something like that from time to time. If Needy is ok with it then perhaps Monday could work?

As I have said in my first post (and I believe my second) I am very open to new players and actually like it in some ways more than experienced players. Hi Pochono. My partner (33M) and I (36M) are from east coast of Australia and looking to find a group. Looks like you’ve found a bunch of people already, but if there’s room we would be keen. We’ve in Newcastle AEST, so we’re only about 2 hours different from you.

I work shift work, so can’t guarantee a set time of the week, but will be significantly more flexible in the coming year. My partner works Mon-Fri 9-4 but has flexible hours. I saw your reply to someone else suggesting a memorable character that makes appearances from time to time, and we will be keen to play as often as possible, but happy to do something along those lines if we can’t be as reliable for every session.

We’ve both only played half a D&D campaign before (it’s still going), which we started 2 years ago. It started in person, but our DM and another player moved, and we started playing online (via Zoom / DNDBeyond). But the sessions have become few and far between. I have some D&D lore experience from playing Baldur’s Gate 1, 2 and now also 3, as well as reading lots of Forgotten Realms books.

Let me know if you think we’d be suitable for your campaign, because we’ve been looking for something more frequent than our current campaign, and have been struggling to find a group.

I may be interested in playing. I've only played a handful of times but my timezones is JST so there should be minimal conflict with your timing.

I'm free anytime after 5:30PM my time on weekdays for the most part and almost always free all day on weekends.
