About Me: Hello!  My name is Jay and I am looking for players interested in joining my new Discord server, which I will be using to run a plethora of games, from one-shots to long adventures.

I am a 32 year old Canadian male (he/him) D&D Veteran.  I have been playing D&D for over 20 years, and have been DMing for as long as I can remember.  I have taken a bit of time away from the D&D scene since a little over a year ago, but am now looking to get back into the game in force!

My time zone is EST, however I am flexible in what hours I can host games at so still feel free to join if you are in other time zones!

Age Disclaimer: In the interest of avoiding any potential issues, I ask that all who join be age 18 or older.  While the rules of the Discord server itself are designed to keep things relatively PG-13, many of the games I host may have more mature content such as horror, foul language, excessive violence, etc.  If you join the server, I will treat that as confirmation that you are over 18.

Games: D&D 5e - though other TTRPGs may be run in the future.  I will be running many adventures of varied content, however a good mix of roleplaying, exploration, and combat should be generally expected.

Platforms: Voice (and sometimes video) chat through Discord.  Roll20 VTT for running games.  D&DBeyond with Beyond20 for character sheets.

Experience: Players of any experience level welcome!

Start Date: Planning to begin running games next week, likely starting Tuesday September 26th.

More Info: I have created this server with the intent of taking my D&D experience to the next level.  While I am going to be starting with hosting free short adventures and one-shots, I also intend to host some paid long-term campaigns in the near future.  In the long run, I plan to create content and adventures of my own, testing them out through free games that I will host before uploading them for sale through sites like DMsGuild and DriveThruRPG. 

Payment: Any paid games that I end up hosting in the future will be done through StartPlayingGames - which has secure payment methods - in the interest of protecting myself as a GM and you as a player. 

Rules: Detailed rules for the server itself can be found in the #server-rules channel - which I ask you to look at after joining - but they are the standard affair; be respectful, no spamming, no derogatory language, no NSFW content, etc. 
Both rules and guides for gameplay can be found in other channels within the server. 
The server has a detailed guide for character creation, which is not only useful for new players creating their first character, but also covers the specific rules for creating characters within my campaigns.
The server also has guides for setting up and using Beyond20 and Roll20, and - for new players - instructions on how to navigate your character sheet.
Lastly, there is a channel where I have listed unique homebrew rules that I use within my games.
