Hello there, I am looking to put together a group of 4 to 5 mature players for a homebrewed campaign. We will use beyond dor character sheets and dicord for playing. The world is loosely based off of a 90s cartoon called pirates of dark water. A world of mostly island nations and dangerous seas. I'm using the 5e system along with their races and monsters, with some help from other thrid party monster and magic item books.

This doesn't have to be a pirate campaign though. There is a pirates guild among many others, but I have this world mostly set up as an open world setting, where your characters can really set off in their own direction. I can also put together a more traditional campaign, with your characters are set off to save the world and become legends.

I am currently running a group of 4 players through this world and have been going strong for over a year now and would like to start up another. I'm looking to run this Wednesday or Tueaday 6pm PST. Also just to clarify Your characters will not crossover. This campaign is fresh and at no point will your characters meet the other groups characters as NPCs or hear rumors of their adventures. They don't exist to you. 

As a DM I've been running games for around 3 years now and i don't consider myself more than someone who is hopefully creating a fun adventure for you. I'm not a rule lawyer and lean towards the "rule of cool" but as the DM I reserve the right to say no. I do not use VTT i prefer theater of the mind with pictures for NPCs and setting along with maps time to time. Maybe owlbear if there's a big battle. I'm 420 friendly and will have a drink from time to time. I don't care about your political, social or religious views unless you're in character and it's relevant to DND. Otherwise you do you. 

Play wise I try to keep things 50/50 with role-playing and battles but there will be maybe 2 or 3 sessions without any combat but plenty of shenanigans. I level up with milestone and go slow with the level up with your characters "naturally" maxing out at 10 but there are ways to continue to level up I just like to make it more interesting after 10.

Oh wow, I never actually watched PoDW, but I was definitely aware of it as a kid and I'm still salty I never got an action figure of the owl-monkey thing because I really wanted one.

See that can work really well because Islands dont have to be small or isolated,.... Japan is a string of Islands,.... Madagascar is an Island,... Britain is an Island,.... Sumatra,Jacarta, Borneo, and the rest of Indonesia is all islands,.....so you can have many land based adventures and diverse peoples without it being "Island of the week" stuff.  I am intrigued by the idea ill send a request
