Hi looking for a couple more UK (ideally but only for timezone issues) folks who are looking to learn with a group of newbies including me, the DM.
The other players are new but very keen to learn and commit to the group. We plan to be relaxed, keep it fun, and be irreverent but inclusive. nazis are only good for punching.
ping me at dm@wavey.org or on here.
timing will be down to player availability but likely weekly/fortnightly on tues/weds evening. (updated 1 oct 2023).
Hey, I'm UK based, a newbie and happy to learn with other newbies including the DM.
I'd be interested if it is an 18+ group (in my 30s). I've been diggin around to find a regular beginner friendly group. Can be tough to find newbie groups that makes it to a second (or sometimes the first) session before players ghost or drop out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you can drop me a message (or confirm here) with rough availability you and the other players may have, if you'll be running one-shot / campaign and how soon you'd be hoping to start, and I'll let you know if I might be a fit for you.
18+ seems sensible - the three confirmed so far are aged 50 and 52.
At least two of us are long-time open-ended PBM gamers and have committed to that successfully for a few years, and are looking to build out something similar in the D&D realm. I also published 50 issues of the player newsletter for the above game - hoping that indicates at least some level of historical commitment to projects.
We're planning to give equally long term commitment to our D&D campaigns, assuming we can find the right folks to share our journey with. Hoping that's you!
Availability wise, we've all got families, so we'll have to find time that works with the family commitments. Let me know if you have some times that work for you and we'll try and find the right intersection.
30 year old new player here starting with his very first character :). I live in Belgium so timezone-wise, it shouldn't be a problem. I am fluent in English so no issues there.
Tuesdays would be better for me but ok if it's wednesdays.
