Are you looking for a game with parents -- or with other adults who may have enough real-life commitments to want to avoid 6-hour sessions stretching into the wee hours of the night? I am looking to start up another campaign, and I thought it might be interesting to try to put together a group of folks who have moved beyond the wild and free days of their youth -- but who are still interested in immersing themselves in some great RPG story creation, roleplaying, and adventure.
I’m a newish DM who has enjoyed running longish (30+ session) campaigns. I’ve had the good fortune to meet some really great players through online play and am looking to start another online group with some fresh faces. If you think you might want to go on an adventure with me, and to collectively create a cool story, I hope you’ll read-on and consider applying via the link below. If you have any questions please drop them in a comment.
Schedule: The campaign will be weekly and last for one year. The day-of-week is TBD and there will be a spot in the application to mark what day you’re available. We will play in the evenings (North American time) for 2-3 hours. If for some reason you’re unable to come, please try to let me know beforehand.
Format: Online, using Zoom for voice and video, and Shard Tabletop or Roll20 for a virtual tabletop.
Expectations: I expect all my players and myself to respect each other and participate with the knowledge that we are all taking part in a cooperative story. We’re all in this together, and in this for the long haul, so don’t be a jerk.
Newbies are welcome, and I enjoy playing with folks with all kinds of backgrounds and skills. If you are new to the game, I and other players will assist, but I’ll also expect you to do some homework on your own time to get up to speed. You don’t need to learn everything right away, but you will need to get familiar with the basics of your character class and the various elements of your character sheet.
You can expect me to respect your feelings, treat you with empathy and kindness, respond to any serious mistreatment of you by the other players, and adapt the game to your character and your interests. If for any reason you feel like I have not done this or you have any comments/concerns about the campaign in general, I always welcome constructive feedback.
Not strictly required. Being able to read body language can be really helpful when we are roleplaying and having active discussion, but I've played with folks before who weren't initially comfortable going on camera.

I'm interested, but is a webcam required? I'm not 100% comfortable being on camera with people I don't at least kind of know beforehand.
