=========================== You are in need of passage to the Elven Kingdom of Offreland. Fare to the elven kingdom does not come cheap and vessels bound for its shores don’t come by too often. Just you are about to give up hope, you hear a man calling for last-minute passengers on a ship that is set to depart in just a few hours. "Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey aboard our state-of-the-art luxury cruise ship, unlike any other in the world!" Whether you can afford first class or the steerage cabin, the price is too good to pass up, and you quickly make arrangements. As the ship leaves the harbor behind, you take a deep breath of the salty air and look out at the endless expanse of ocean. You're excited for the adventure that awaits you, but you also can't help but feel a sense of foreboding. Something about this ship doesn't feel right.
This is a campaign 12 sessions in with openings for 2-3 additional players. Before applying please consider the longevity of the campaign. We have lost players due to schedule conflicts and appreciate players who will be sticking with us for the long hall! Before joining the party, new characters will have a session 0 with the DM and/or other new players to see if you play style is compatible with the rest of the players.
Character Creation The party is currently at level 4. New players will get to take an extra feat and background/level gp or equipment. Races are restricted due to homebrew world narrative. Open compendium is available in D&D Beyond.
Character Concept (Optional): Depends on the races allowed
Your Playstyle
What kind of games do you enjoy playing? (e.g., combat-heavy, roleplay-heavy, dungeon crawls, etc.) RP and Exploration. Dungeon crawls have their place, but 5e combat after 5th level sucks ass.
What are your expectations for the campaign? To be thought provoking while still being entertaining.
What are your favorite things to do in D&D? The rich tapestry of racial histories, the lore of each game world and just the lack of technology
What are your least favorite things to do in D&D? Combat (as a DM) and mindlessly trapesing through a dungeon.
Any Additional Information Thanks very much, and I hope I passed the audition. I'm free any day except Friday and Saturday.
I get the impression that you’re after some intrigue. If you’re after a story driven campaign with social puzzle solving, you’ve come to the right place. Please reach out to me on discord: thedm1998#0
Experience with TTRPGs: a little 2e and been running 5e off and on since it came out.
Character Concept (Optional): I like to tailor my character to fit the campaign. I've been playing around with the idea of a character who was an emissary for an archfey and failed them so they were banished to the material plane as punishment until some goal the archfey assigned to them is completed.

What kind of games do you enjoy playing? (e.g., combat-heavy, roleplay-heavy, dungeon crawls, etc.) All of the above! I prefer a mix of RP, combat and exploration/puzzle solving. I do enjoy trying new things.
What are your expectations for the campaign? I expect some light hearted fun rolling fake dice. Mutual respect between the players and the GM.
What are your favorite things to do in D&D? Find creative solutions to problems. I played a Shadowdark game last week and when our last torch went our I used my characters beard as a makeshift torch to get us a few more rounds of light.
What are your least favorite things to do in D&D? PvP, sexual things, slogging through a dungeon and endlessly choosing left or right.
Experience with TTRPGs: I have around 7/8 years worth of experience with all kinds of TTRPG, from 5e to Cyberpunk
Character Concept (Optional): I have a few ideas for a party, but I'm mainly waiting on seeing what the party comp is like. I like to fill in any gaps.
Your Playstyle
What kind of games do you enjoy playing? (e.g., combat-heavy, roleplay-heavy, dungeon crawls, etc.) A nice mix of all of the above. Some sessions may be more roleplay heavy while others may be more combat heavy, which is great.
What are your expectations for the campaign? Some fun and mutual respect between players and the DM.
What are your favorite things to do in D&D? I love weaving my PC into the lore of the campaign and making them feel like part of the world.
What are your least favorite things to do in D&D? Having sessions where a simple problem (like a locked door) ends up taking most of the session to get past, pvp, powergamers seeking to "win" dnd.
