About The Adventure
In the land of Barovia, darkness shrouds the land like a never-ending night. This land, isolated from the world beyond, is a realm of ancient legends and forgotten horrors. The mists that encircle Barovia serve as both a barrier and a prison, trapping its inhabitants in an eternal struggle against an oppressive, malevolent force.
Welcome, brave souls, to the dread realm of Ravenloft. Your journey into the dark heart of this gothic horror world begins here, in the chilling tale known as the "Curse of Strahd." But heed this warning: the path ahead is fraught with peril, and the shadows that loom are not easily dispelled.
Barovia, a land perpetually locked in twilight, is ruled by the enigmatic and tyrannical Count Strahd von Zarovich. His castle, Castle Ravenloft, overlooks the land like a sinister sentinel, casting a foreboding shadow over the people who live in fear of the vampire lord's wrath. The people of Barovia are gripped by despair, their lives overshadowed by the dark lord's malevolence. As the sun struggles to pierce the thick fog that blankets the land, hope dwindles.
You, however, are not mere bystanders in this grim tale. You are the heroes destined to confront the horrors of Barovia, to unravel its mysteries, and, if fate permits, to vanquish the ancient evil that plagues this cursed realm. Each of you possesses unique abilities and backgrounds, and together, you represent the light that can pierce through the ever-present darkness.
Your journey will lead you through haunted forests, decrepit villages, and forgotten crypts. You will face unspeakable horrors and confront the darkest aspects of your own souls. But you are not alone. As a group, you will forge bonds of camaraderie and resilience, drawing strength from each other in your quest to free Barovia from the grip of Strahd's curse.
The Curse of Strahd campaign invites you to immerse yourself in the gothic horror world of Ravenloft, where dread and despair are as tangible as the land itself. It is a world where ancient secrets are buried in every shadow, and where heroes must confront their deepest fears to survive.
This campaign will unfold through a play-by-post format over Discord, allowing for maximum immersion into the gothic horror world of the campaign setting. As you step into the shoes of your characters and navigate the treacherous path ahead, remember that in the land of Barovia, survival is not guaranteed, and every choice you make may lead to either salvation or doom.
Prepare yourselves, for the mists of Barovia are unforgiving, and the horrors that await are beyond imagination. The Curse of Strahd beckons, and your fate is inexorably tied to the darkness that envelops this forsaken land.
About Me
I love the art of collaborative storytelling. I've been gaming for 40 years and no matter how hard I try, I always have more fun in the game master’s chair.
I have a fluid style that looks at the rules as a set of guidelines. I try to focus on story and roleplaying and definitely follow the “rule of cool.” I like to focus on setting scenes and immersing the players in the world they are gaming in.
Why a paid game?
It’s about commitment. If you’re paying, you’re committed. And if you’re paying me, I’m committed. Campaigns end all the time, and PBP games even more often. Using a paid system you can be assured of a quality game that will last.
Beginners Welcome!
Because of my rules light style, it’s extra easy to join one of my games. While Curse of Strahd is pretty advanced and brutal, it is one of the most immersive campaigns ever devised.

Details about joining the campaign can be found here:
Price reduction to $5 per session. That’s an ongoing Curse Of Strahd campaign run by a professional DM for $5 a week! You can be as active as you want with no weekly live session to schedule. We’ll just keep things rolling throughout the week.
This is a play by post on Discord and session zero will give you the opportunity to help flesh out a custom version of the campaign - so even if you’ve played or even run Curse of Strahd, I can ensure you get a unique experience.
