Hi everyone! I'm Matt, and I'm looking to get more into D&D. I've played a couple of goofy non serious games with friends several years ago before the pandemic, and a couple attempts at online games with friends that never last too long unfortunately.
I have a general knowledge of DnD, but not much experience playing the game itself which I'd love to change. I'm looking for a somewhat serious game with a focus on RP and combat, exploration can be fun too! I don't know too much about modules / established stories so I'll just list a few themes and interests.
Gothic Horror
Eldritch Horror
High Fantasy
Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring type worlds and lore
I'm sure that applies to almost too much but I'm not quite sure how to narrow it down! I may need help with backstory information but I'm usually happy to learn about lore. If anyone has a campaign starting and is open to newer players please let me know! I might be a bit shy in voice at first but I type a lot and will open up.
