SYNOPSIS:

Centuries ago, an alliance between dwarves, gnomes, and humans forged Phandelver's Pact, granting them access to a bountiful mine within the mystical Wave Echo Cave. With human spellcasters aiding them, they harnessed its magical energy in the Forge of Spells, bringing prosperity to the frontier town of Phandalin.

But disaster struck when marauding orcs, backed by malevolent wizards, sought the riches and magic of the cave. A cataclysmic battle ensued, concealing the mine's location for ages. Treasure hunters flocked to the region, all in vain.

Today, in the serene town of Phandalin, a web of mysteries begins to unravel, signaling the emergence of a hidden power lurking beneath the surface. As adventurers, you step into the shoes of budding heroes, initially tasked with a seemingly simple rescue mission that transforms into an epic adventure.

In this campaign, all are welcome to embrace the thrill of discovery and confront the unknown. Traverse goblin mischief, unearth the secrets of an ancient mine, and confront menacing forces that threaten Phandalin's very existence. The fate of the town and its people rests in your hands. Will you rise to the challenge, shape the course of events, and become the hero Phandalin desperately needs?

GAME DETAILS:

• Looking for 4 - 6 players
• Experience: All levels of experience are welcome
• Campaign should run from level 1 to level 12
• Session time: Fridays at 9:00 pm EST/ 8:00 pm CST/ 6:00 pm PST
• Weekly 3 hour sessions, including a 10 min break
• Session Zero on 10/20/2023 will be at a reduced $5, but normal sessions are $20 via Startplaying.games
• Voice chat is required via Discord.

CONTENT DETAILS:

• Battle maps will be on a dedicated Foundry VTT server (No registration required)
• Access to all D&D Source Books through my shared D&D Beyond campaign.

ABOUT MYSELF

"There are no bad ideas, only bad dice rolls" - I feel this sums up my Game Mastering style pretty nicely. I am laid back and always looking to provide each player (and their character) a chance to have that "cool" moment. I am extremely flexible when it comes to running campaigns, prioritizing player agency above pre-written or pre-planned direction. After all we are partaking in a collaborative story narrative, and more often than not those memorable sessions are driven by players attempting something outrageous!

CODE OF CONDUCT

• NO Bullying, hazing, or otherwise picking on a fellow character. You are a team and as such will treat each other with respect.
• NO Torturing or slaving captured NPCs
• NO Sexual content (sweet talking may be used as a form of persuasion but ONLY with NPCs)
• NO Shutting down other players ideas or actions.
  • Each player has a chance to voice their thoughts or intent. If you say "My character will try..." then we will play out the outcome. If you ask the party for their opinion, then that action can be decided upon by the group (in or out of character). There are no wrong answer or suggestions.
