Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online or Face-to-face Experience: New Location/Timezone: Mobile, AL [Central Time Zone] Availability: This is the tricky part. I just got a job offer, and I'm not yet sure what my hours will be. I know it'll be regular full-time, so I'm guessing I'll have either evenings or mornings free every day. I won't know my schedule 100% until after Halloween, most likely. Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm looking for something more casual in terms of the difficulty, and I would prefer a pretty even mix of role-playing, combat, and exploration. Since I'm trying to get more first-hand experience with the game, I want to sample a bit of everything. That said, I would be down for just about anything, from role-play heavy interaction focused campaigns to combat focused dungeon crawls, as long as I get to practice my DND tools and build up my experience with the game.
I'm very interested in DM'ing eventually, but I want to build my knowledge of the game beforehand.
Personal info: 29, Male, and friendly to everyone. I feel like DND is at its best when everyone in the game is on the same page about what they want from the campaign, what they're comfortable with, and where they want their story to go. I'm a writer as well, so I feel like it's crazy I've taken so long to get into a game that is basically just co-op, improv story writing, with some math sprinkled in for structure.
Please message me if you think I would be a good fit for your group or campaign, but free offers only please.
