Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (and something text-based preferably. I do not like things that use the webcam or mic) Experience: New Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Preferably weekends (6pm-11pm), but anything other than Tuesday evenings can be arranged. Preferred role: Player (currently looking to use a cleric, but I've got character sheets for other types too, if that doesn't suit.) Game style: Casual with maybe an emphasis on roleplay. I love a good story, but anything is just fine. Mostly, I've been trying to teach myself how to play, and while I think I've got the basics down, I'd like to learn by doing. I'd like to see these ideas in action, and I'm looking for a group who can help mentor in that way.
Please, and thanks, your time is valued.

Lvl 2 - Dathyra Galanodel - High Elf Cleric of the Life Domain - Platinum Plated Keys
Lvl 5 - Dathyra Galanodel - High Elf Cleric of the Life Domain - Hunted
So, I'm starting to get desperate here. I never got to play DnD as a kid because I never could find a physical group, and I don't have a local game store to easily get to. Now, with all this availability online, I thought it would be easier, but I'm almost at the point where I want to just throw in the towel and say, "Oh, well, I guess I was just never meant to play." If you're like me, and you're getting frustrated trying to find something, I've started a Discord server that anyone can join to try and find something:

I really am desperate. I will make any character for any role you want.

The problem is the ratio of DMs to players is way out of whack. If you are desperate there are paid games on roll20.
