Hello!
Our group has recently lost a member and we're looking for a replacement. We recently began this campaign and we've played around five sessions so far. The group itself has been playing together for a few years now.
We play every Tuesday from 7 pm to 10 pm AEDT. The game is played in Foundry VTT. Occasionally there may be an absence of a player, but we usually just play anyway. You can expect a pretty consistent weekly game.
This is a Free-to-play game.
If you're seeing this post, we're still accepting applicants!
Setting
The campaign is set in a completely homebrew fantasy world. The area in which the action takes place is a newly settled frontier on a mostly unexplored landmass. A massive forest said to contain ruins of an ancient civilization dominates the landscape, and most of the frontier towns have been established around the shores of a lake on the edge of this ancient forest.
Treasure hunters and a variety of guilds have sprung up to explore and tame this land.
The party began their journey in the humble town of Asparo. They undertook a few local investigations and decided to travel across the great lake to the town of Luggraff, where they've just arrived.
Luggraff was recently sacked by orc raiders and (reportedly) a juvenile green dragon. Most of the invading orcs have been driven out by the time the party arrives, but the city lies in a state of great disrepair and uncertainty as the humble recovery effort begins. The group has spent some time canvasing the area and are planning to flush out the remaining orcs in the city's Upper district. This is where your character will enter the story.
Characters
Starting level: 3 Character Generation: Standard Point Buy You may choose a free feat at character creation from the following list: -Charger -Defensive Duelist -Dual Wielder -Dungeon Delver -Flash Recall -Grappler -Mystic Conflux -Mage Slayer -Poisoner -Shield Master -Skulker
All official material is allowed. Some Unearthed Arcana or other playtest material may be permitted with DM approval.
Most character races are permitted without restrictions, but there are a few exceptions. These races are a rampant threat to the frontier towns. They're perhaps even more savage and hostile in this setting than in a typical fantasy game, which makes them inappropriate as player characters:
Goblin Hobgoblin Bugbear Orc
The Party
The current party roster is as follows:
Human Conjuration Wizard
Human Genie Warlock
Kobold Rune Knight
Deep Gnome Blood Hunter
The party's alignment is generally Good.
If you create a character, it should probably be good-leaning, or at the very least be able to consistently get along with good-leaning types. Blatantly evil characters, obvious criminals, etc just aren't going to be a good fit for the moral compass of this particular party, so keep that in mind when you're coming up with a concept.
