find yourselves in the expansive world of Eldrainen. a world of high magics and powerful beings where the gods themselves were once mortals that used their great potential and power to ascend to a higher realm.
but while on the surface the world is at peace with only minor situations happening through the continent like the Second Dragon War in Libertas or the Dwarven Clan Rebellion of Lorem. there is much darker forces moving beneath the surface and threaten to plunge the world into a war that it very well might not survive.
you all are just citizens of your home nations. no one special outside your basic training in martial skills or magical skills. but late at night as you are going about your life your attacked and knocked unconcious by forces unknown. as you wake up you find yourselves chained to the floor of a large ships cargo hold. all around you are others in a similar situation and deep in the gloom of the ship are armed guards standing at the stairs leading up. and just at a glance you can tell they are Elves.
i have a list of homebrew rules and i do have some race restrictions which are from a story telling point of those races not having places in the world as it stands. this is a restart of a campaign that fell apart so i do have some things already prepared for the first half or so of the story. though will modify as needed when you all seek to join with your characters. which we will go over more indepth in the discord server. and know. im quite the laid back dm. i tend to make games more for just being fun rather then hard so come in with character builds that are interesting and dont worry to much about if its a powerful build or not.
this is a level 1-20 campaign to be played on tuesdays so if you are interested in the hook and can manage to play on that day then follow this to apply.

Discord Tag: experience with D&D: Character Ideas: Favorite moment in D&D: Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D:
Character Ideas: I'm thinking of playing a barbarian/fighter/strength based rogue and getting the tavern brawler feat and focusing on using improvised weapons and unarmed strikes ( I'm aware that's not a powerful build but it's a fun build I want to play )
Favorite moment in D&D: I don't have one favorite but one that comes to mind right now is my gnome wizard casting stoneskin on herself and being used as a thrown weapon by the paladin.
Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D: I had a DM who made the entire session ( yes session the campaign only lasted one session) about his one friend ( like in a three hour session us other three players got a combined 20 words in ) and proceeded to shout in our faces when we tried to bring it up to him that we weren't having fun with him doing that.
experience with D&D: I started as a DM in July 2021. I've been running at least one weekly campaign ever since.
Character Ideas: I am a huge wizard lover and I have some old ideas but usually I like to talk them over with the DM first make sure it really fits the campaign and sometimes I get inspiration from just chatting and learning more. I also like to get a feel of the group so I'm not making a character that would clash too heavily. I've also had a Bard character in mind (classic heartbroken bard).
Favorite moment in D&D: my favorite d&d moment would probably be when a rogue I was playing finally got rid of his curse and then proceeded to immediately get another curse. He got so upset he yelled out to the sky that he wishes anybody would come and get rid of his curse. Somebody did in a fantastic moment of the sky turning night during the day. My character thought it was a God but later I found out it was a feylord that was tricking my character the entire time.
Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D: This wasn't necessarily in dnd but they had a rule that out of a group of five if one person was gone the session would be canceled even if the person said they wouldn't be able to make it after the session was supposed to start.
Discord Tag: kingbuddy2010 experience with D&D: 2008 as a player and 2020 as a dm. Character Ideas: my main idea is a Goliath bloodhunter and secondary is an elf spores Druid. Favorite moment in D&D: When my storm sorcerer crit on a lvl 3 chromatic orb on a creature that was vulnerable to fire damage. Our cleric was inside the frost worm being digested. My sorcerer only used thunder, cold, and lightning spells mostly but this fight he felt like he had to change things up and tossed a fire orb for this first time and did over 100 damage between the crit and the vulnerability the worm had. Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D: basically banned animate objects and nerfed most conjuration spells (conjure animals, summon beast).
Character Ideas: current idea is a shifter barbarian, following the ancestral guardian path. Second idea is dwarven monk (way of the open hand)
Favorite moment in D&D: whenever morality comes up really, party once killed a lone orc in a tunnel underground, only to find later on he was part of a peaceful orc community they stumbled upon, and seeing how upset they were when they discovered their member had been killed was quite hitting
Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D: allowing retcon for their partner, like changing their original chosen stats because they changed their mind a few sessions in, but we couldn't do that
Discord Tag: NekoMama8416 experience with D&D: fairly new - 1 year Character Ideas: A homebrew character called a felico (a cat-shifter) life cleric Favorite moment in D&D: unsure Least favorite thing a DM has done in D&D: killed off a character for no reason other than because they went off the DM's script.
Discord Tag: sunnygh0st experience with D&D: 2 years, played in 7 games Character Ideas: A fairy sorcerer; clockwork soul. Her name is Saira and she is a tinkerer for a guild. Fashion savvy and friendly to those she meets. Favourite moment in D&D: Having situations in both RP and combat where all party members can contribute in their talents. Working as a team and friends is always the bets feeling to me :) Least favourite thing a DM has done in D&D: Take away all magic items from the whole party
