Greetings, esteemed adventurers! I am your Dungeon Master, a seasoned storyteller with over three decades of experience crafting epic tales within the enchanting realm of Dungeons and Dragons. In my extensive journey as a DM, I've honed the art of shared storytelling, placing you—the valiant heroes—at the heart of the narrative, where the very fabric of the world is woven by the threads of your choices.
Brace yourselves for an extraordinary odyssey as we embark on a campaign where the forces of evil serve as an unavoidable means to an end. Your... not so noble quest revolves around restoring the memories and reclaiming the power of a long-forgotten and treacherous dragon god.
This is not merely an adventure; it is a profound and immersive role-playing experience that beckons you to step into the shoes of your characters and shape the destiny of this vibrant world.
What Sets This Campaign Apart:
Intense Role-Playing: Immerse yourself in a world where character development and interactions take center stage. Your decisions carry weight, and your choices influence the destinies of both heroes and villains.
An Open Sandbox: While the adventure unfolds, you'll find yourself in a dynamic and open sandbox setting. Explore the vast landscapes, uncover hidden secrets, and chart your own path through the unfolding narrative.
The Wheel of Time: Remember, as you shape the world around you, the wheel of time is always turning. The consequences of your actions ripple through the story, creating a living, breathing world where your every choice matters.
If that sounds interesting to you, please read a more in depth description of the campaign below.
Campaign:The Forgotten Child
Overview: High in the Camden Range, a blizzard-stricken temple is shrouded in secrecy; it's called "The White Temple." The inhabitants of this temple are known as The Chosen Children of Scion. As protectors of the temple, they serve a shadowy organization dedicated to resurrecting "the Forgotten Child", a dragon god all but erased from mortal memory.
In this D&D 5e campaign, players become one of the Chosen Children. You will start at level 9 with no race/class restrictions. You are expected to align with Scion's goals and navigate a world where good and evil blur, all while rising through the ranks of the Scion in an attempt to uncover the truth behind the erased god.
The campaign features rich RP opportunities, dark magic, and a balance between uncovering the past and shaping the future. Each Chosen Child possesses magical relics granted by the Talons, adding depth and customization to their journey.
Embark on a captivating adventure where choices influence destiny, and the mysteries hidden in the snow-covered peaks of the Camden Range await discovery. Will you fulfill the prophecy or become another forgotten soul in the icy embrace of the Forgotten Child's legacy?
Setting the scene:
High in the Camden Range, a blinding snowstorm has halted all movement on the roads for weeks. Garalt’s peak protrudes above the clouds like an icy citadel. Stumbling slowly toward some ivory temple, the first civilized sight she’s seen in three days, a young woman cries out with the last ounce of energy she can muster. Her wails are mere whispers against the rage of the frigid winds and she continues her slow limp towards sanctuary. Something has been in the winds at her back - something more sinister than the cold. Her journey up the hill towards the steps of this strange white-stoned temple feels like an eternity, fighting off the desire to simply lay back into the snow and resign herself to the stars’ desire. Everything in sight is covered in ice and snow but her trek is made longer weaving in and around hundreds of tall, thin boulders that all but block the path in places.
Finally reaching the door, it’s all she can do to reach one arm up out of the folds of her thick cloak to clasp the icy brass door knocker. It might as well be the mountain itself for she cannot lift it. Whether it's iced in place or she's simply too weak, she cannot tell. She cries out once more and falls to her knees, her piteous sobs drowned out by the howling gale. Miraculously, someone seems to have heard her, and the great stone door crackles and groans as a great sheet of ice shatters in shards all around her on its opening.
“Th-thank you s-so much! I feared the mountain would c-claim me. Please, shelter. I can p-pay. I cannot allow my b-b-baby to die out here in these winds.” The words escape her slowly, through numbed, parched lips. Her cloaks mirror the great door before her - ice and snow cracking from them - as she parts them to reveal a child beneath. He cries out at the stinging winds and curls himself against his mother's warmth. His skin is ivory pale, his own mirror to the snowy surroundings. Looking up, the mother reaches out a hand full of copper pieces. “P-please, i-i-it’s all I have.”
“Nonsense, child. We have no need for money here. Your son will be safe,” a whisper soft voice responds from within the shadowy confines of the cracked door.
“Thank G-Grocce! We will be no trouble, I p-prom-mise.” The mother begins to bundle herself and her son back up to head inside.
“Yes... thank Grocce. For... all... he... has... done...” His words are a punched, sarcastic staccato and a wiry hand is outstretched from the cracked door. “Give me the child so that we may see to his warmth. Not a second to lose.”
“Of c-course, but can w-we not be ins-side first?” And then the mother feels compelled by some force wrapping around her very mind to obey. At first, she tries to fight it off, urging reason to win out against the madness of handing her son over to the stranger, but the intruding desire is too much. Once again parting her cloaks, she loosens the stiff leather straps holding her son in place and holds him forward.
Moments later and without another syllable uttered between them, she is without her son. Against her own reasoning, the mother offers a thankful smile at the stranger within and slowly - painfully - removes all of her clothing, dropping it in the snow beneath her. Smaller hands quickly reach out from within the shadows to retrieve her belongings and just as the door slams shut the voice calls out to her one last time.
“Thank... Grocce.”
She has an odd realisation that she is out of place here on the steps and simply erects herself, turns away from the door, and paces slowly down to the hill to take her place among the strange snowy boulders she passed on her way up. As if reading her thoughts, a great gust of wind roars across the peak, lifting the snow and revealing hundreds of naked bodies on the hill, frozen in place and time. A strange thought occurs to her. “At least I’ll have company.” With no thick fur cloaks to protect her soft skin, it takes mere moments for the intense cold to claim her too, freezing her in place among her new icy kin
Campaign Highlights:
Forge alliances and confront treacherous enemies in the untamed wilderness.
Immerse yourselves in vibrant towns and dungeons, each with its own secrets to unveil.
Engage in rich role-playing experiences with well-crafted NPCs.
Balance encounters tailored for four-players.
Navigate a branching storyline, where choices lead to different outcomes.
