Newbie DM looking to trial a one shot

Hey guys!

Absolute newbie to this site so heyyyy!

I made sure to read the rules so I suppose I should start with introducing myself!

I’m a 30+ F baby DM with approx 2.5 years playing and a couple months DMing.

I started playing during covid with some close pals online  but then moved back to London and lost touch with my group and  so have been trying to find people to play with again. Hence, finding this! Yay!

And so, I’ve played mostly one shots (as well as some water deep stuff And strahd campaigns but we lost touch before I could finish them - so would also be interested in giving a campaign a go at a low level however in the space between losing that group and trying to find another I have tested out a self written one shot that I would love to test out with some people.

I guess I’m just looking for a group to try out a self written one shot that doesn’t take itself too seriously and can be flexible with the rules and be as stupid and chaotic as you would like.

And if the above desperate attempt to make friends doesn’t inspire you to respond to this post… I just want to draw attention that this particular one shot has an ACTUAL dungeon, an ACTUAL dragon and a wholesome ending… perhaps.

And I guess if the the above did inspire you to join this misadventure then all I can close out with is that, I look forward to causing chaos in the market town of “Anxious-about-a-possible-apocalypse-but-we-aren’t-going-to-do-anything-about-it-and-would-rather-someone-else-just-deal-with-it-instead-upon-thames*

* This was eventually shortened to Dragon-upon-Stone after a lengthy town meeting. After a few fights and the majority of people losing interest, people just agreed that they were in fact too drunk, and bored and that there was definitely a massive dragon nearby that was very much on a stone and that maybe someone someday would come and do something about it.

I'm luke 20 M I have basically done this exactly experience (Being a baby dm and learning whith a few lighthearted one-shots).  I've played in 1 campaign before for about 6 months before the dm got burned-out which is understandable.

Lets have fun and a good time cus thats what its about.

Also, are we all UK as I want to find a decent time for everyone to play. It’s also super exciting that everyone’s characters would be completely new to each other and would have to awkwardly be roped into having to help this town simply because they just happened to be in the same place 😅

I know, this is exciting. I am not in the UK, but I am open to anytime. Setting up a discord group would be great. As long as you have a voice chat, a rules/announcements text chat, and a general text chat, that works. Then you can add more channels if you need it.
