I'm a total newbie to DnD, adult on the west coast. I can meet (PST time zone) on days Tu, Th, F starting 6 PM forward, or Sat anytime from 3 PM forward. Open to one-shots or multi-week campaigns. Looking for online only, and for live video chats to see faces during meet ups. Would prefer to play with age 18+ people, and people who don't use hate speech towards anyone. I have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech in general, and especially against women and girls/AAPI/BIPOC/the LGBTQIA+ community.
Tried my first one-shot recently and enjoyed it. As an individual, I'm looking to join a group willing to have the patience to train. Still learning about the terminology, how to create/continue with a character, when to roll/not roll, etc. I'll definitely interrupt with questions and may get confused, etc. so a supportive DM with a willingness to teach would be awesome. I'm still figuring out DnD Beyond here, and also how it works.
(If this is a thing??? Only asking because my first and only one-shot, the DM had character bios already made for us to choose from since we were learning.) I'd prefer a DM who may already have character profiles setup and lets the players choose who they want to be instead of me creating my own, since I'm still figuring out how to do it, and how it works. (???)
If you and your group are open to me as that type of player, I'd love to join and meet you.

Hey Kataloupe, does this post mean you’be decided not to go with a group, or is it more to have more games per week and more learning experience ?
In any case, wish you luck and enjoy learning the game !
