CLOSED - Online group in UK (GMT) play Tuesday 7pm until 11pm using Discord

Hi,

We are looking for an experienced DM (players also welcomes) to help a group of completely new players (4 of us at the moment) learn to play D&D from the ground up.  We tried to start playing The Mines of Phandelver but we made a complete hash of it and managed to get to the first Goblin encounter.... I DMd but I have no experience so we'd really like someone to show us the ropes.  For example, first night help us explore character creation and then get into the story the next night and carry on that campaign until its completion.... Maybe even stick with us if they'd like!

We'd play through Discord using Avrea/Beyond tools for rolls ect but we'd be led by the DM on this.  After speaking with everyone the most suitable night is every Tuesday from 19:00 to 23:00 (GMT).

I hope someone is prepared to help us out to learn a little more.  It's probably not a unique sentence you folks are hearing at the moment but Baldur's Gate 3 really encouraged us to explore this again.  We're all very good friends in our little group and we'd welcome anyone that is as prepared to laugh at themselves as they are to help the other out while we learn.

We're all old I'm afraid.  We're in our late 30s 😂

I've had a question via Discord about whether we'd accept a new DM.  We absolutely will and in fact we'd welcome someone new to being a DM as long as they're experienced enough to explain rules and also do a character creation night at the start.
