I am looking for 1 players to fill out my Curse of Strahd Campaign. In this 5e module, adventurers are mysteriously drawn to the realm of Barovia which is surrounded by deadly fog and ruled by the vampire wizard Strahd von Zarovich. This gothic horror adventure takes the players on a course through Barovia that culminates with a vampire hunt inside Castle Ravenloft.

Why the small fee?

The fee is to cover the cost of subscriptions and services that I use to put together the best game I can for my players. I am not a professional DM, I have a day job, and this fee does not cover all the time I put into the campaign. I do that part because I enjoy playing the game. For that you get one 3 to 4 hour session every week starting at 6:30pm EST. Please note that due to scheduled vacations, emergencies or illness, I will miss the occasional sessions throughout the year.

What you will need to Play:

• D&D Beyond Account (Free) for Character Creation
• Discord Account (Free) for voice chat (no video)
• Chrome web browser (Foundry VTT works best with Chrome)
• A Good computer (If your computer is old or underpowered you may not be able to play, laptops unless high end will also be a problem)
• A stable internet connection with decent bandwidth
• A good quality audio (headset recommended)

Foundry VTT

If you have not used Foundry VTT it will not be a problem, it is easy to use and I use a high level of automation so you do less clicking and more playing. I also use top-down tokens, spell and weapon animations, interactive maps when possible, visual aids, sound effects, music, etc… 

Character Creation

We are starting at first level and character creation will be done in D&D Beyond and then imported into Foundry. I have most of the source books so, you should have lots of options for Character creation.

About Me

I played lots of D&D back in the day but have recently returned to the game after an extended period. I do not see the DM’s roll as a storyteller but more of a guide/referee. I describe what you see, how the world works and adjudicate the rules, you write the story! My style is pretty open and I reward players for creativeness. I want the players to have a fun time exploring an exciting world and not get bogged down in the minutia of the game.

What I am looking for in my players

• To be 18+
• To have played 5e and have a basic understanding of the core game mechanics. You don’t have to know every rule, player class, or spell, just the basics.
• To have a good attitude and be respectful of other players.
• Can commit to a weekly game. Please don’t sign up if you have a potential work or personal conflict that may irregularly affect your ability to play.
