Are you looking for adventure at the high seas? Exploring a land of danger and wonder? Uncovering mystical secrets and lore? Then you will want to join our new D&D 5e campaign set in the world of Ixalan!
About the group: We are looking for a female player to round out our group of 3 guys and 1 gal for a good group dynamic. We're all 30+, but all ages are welcome. We are LGBTQ+ positive, and will NOT tolerate racist, sexist or otherwise hateful speech. Our group is from mixed nationalities, and any are welcome to join. I have found that having a mixed group leads to a far better experience.
Our group has just finished a fantastic Theros campaign that lasted 71 sessions, and was the best campaign I have had so far. Sadly two players work got in the way, and now we are looking for new blood! When? The campaign is expected to start on the 24th or 31st of january with a session 0, and last roughly half a year. Before we begin this campaign we will have a one-shot to get a feel for the group on the 17th of january. This will be a heist where you are a group of kobolds tasked to steal a golden egg from a floating cloud giant castle.
Joining our group means that you agree to attend to the session every week, on time. Being late or not showing up without warning is disrespectful to the time and effort of other players. Not showing up without warning for 2 sessions in a row means you will be removed from the play group. Of course real life has a way of getting in the way of things, that is normal. Just let us know what is going on, we'll worry about you.
So About The Setting...
The real-world region of Mesoamerica saw horrifying colonial violence. The setting of Ixalan from Magic: The Gathering is based on this region and its colonial history. As a Dutch person I am doing my best to show respect to this and try to make this anticolonial.
Subjects such as these and other no-go's will be discussed during session 0. Though D&D sees violence and danger, our table will be a safe place to have fun.
