Gone Questin' is a wacky adventure setting inspired by middle-fantasy comedies (Disenchantment, Wizards, Monty Python, the Discworld series). This Comedy of Errors features, parodies, and pays homage to familiar tropes while indulging in the retro atmosphere and vibe of the gritty and whimsical fantasy genre seen in the 70s-90s. Using a 5e system with AD&D flavor, Gone Questin'! is perfect for you if you want to:

I will be running TWO games in this world, side by side. They will both be at Noon on Wednesday (EST) but on opposite weeks. If either interests you, please book and contact me on StartPlaying! I am running an early bird special, which means the first two players to join either game gets their first session for 50% off!
Field Trip! (played on the first and third Wednesday of every month) will be a spellcaster-heavy student research trip gone wrong, combining magical school stories with mild horror as they face a dark and enchanted forest. This game is best suited for intermediate and advanced players comfortable at starting at levels 3-5, but all are welcome!
Homeward Bound! (played on the second and fourth Wednesday) sees a party of civilians trying to make their way home after getting caught behind enemy lines. This game is best suited for Beginner and Intermediate players, but OG players will love the throwback to starting at level 0 and earning their class features!
These games will be starting in FEBRUARY, but session zero and all game prep will be done in JANUARY, so make sure to get in soon! This will be a biweekly game with 12 total sessions, spanning February-July 2024. If it goes well I will be launching more games, including a longform campaign expected to run ~2 years!
**NOTE: If this interests you but you cannot make the time listed, please still feel free to inquire via DMs! If enough people can agree on a different time, I am not opposed to changing it. However I make no guarantees that this will happen, it will be based entirely on player interest!

"TJ is the best DM I’ve ever had. He’s a masterful storyteller who puts a ton of care and detail into setting and descriptions. He also cares a lot about his players and is really good at putting safeguards in place so everyone feels comfortable and respected. His interpretations of DND material are SO much fun to play with, and he’s very acutely aware of the problems within DND 5E and has done a lot to address it when I played with him."
"Great at setting the mood and making it clear enough for players to visualize, along with ample visual aids. Worlds are rich with lore but allow for the addition of players' lore. Well thought out and established to ensure a sturdy start to every campaign."
"TJ is a wonderful, highly organized and giving GM, who is always more than happy to hear your ideas and work with you to develop them. The sessions are so well constructed and everyone gets their turn in the spotlight, while the narrative that TJ creates is compelling and engaging. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming and felt safe straight away, which is great for those on the shy side like myself. TJ is genuinely a joy to play with and the best GM I've had so would definitely recommend!"
