Game: D&D 5e 2014 Group type: Face-to-face Experience: Veteran Player/few years as DM Location/Timezone: Denver, Colorado USA Centennial, Parker, SE Aurora, SE Metro Denver/MST Schedule: Bi-weekly weekend games (potentially flexible) Consistency is key. Roles sought: DM for ideally 3-5 players / Player if you need someone for a campaign- not really into one-shots Game style: This will be a story based campaign and will require some investment and seriousness from players. Roleplay, combat, intrigue.
Term: Level 1 to let’s shoot for epic levels.
This Campaign: This is a homebrew high fantasy campaign setting created back when AD&D was huge! Or at least more huge. It’s been dusted off here and there. That said it is 5e 2014 game with maybe some homebrew monsters (i.e. monster modifications from time to time) and items. LoTR is the key inspiration here with all sorts of other books and movie plots adding encouragement. I like to think of it as Awesome Good vs Terrifying Evil, with the PCs are caught up in there. A version of DMG Gritty rules will be in play as well as slower healing. I like the idea of PCs having inspiration/hero points at hand for those moments, but those will be few. There may be some other “challenges” drawn from the 5e books to keep characters on their toes. I do not care for unearthed arcana in most instances. Otherwise, sticking to the books (RAW as they say) is easier for consistency, game balance, and doing so ensures everyone is comfortable with rules and expectations. DM will referee uncertainties.
I will inundate interested players with details.
I would be happy to join someone's campaign if you are down a player.
