Game style: Balanced heroic homebrew mini campaign, first person roleplay, a little on the grittier side, no ooc.
I'm looking to run a 6-8 week mini campaign. The game is first person role playing, good aligned, with limited/no out of character, and is a touch on the grittier side. I have 40 years of xp as a GM but the game welcomes beginners. We will be playing weekly on Thursday evenings at 6pm (Eastern US time).
The blurb for the game is: You are travelling along the Duke's Road and have stopped for the evening in the town of Tallis. After a pleasant evening at the local tavern you are awoken in the middle of the night by screams and flames - the town is under attack!
All official WotC published classes and races are available but, I reserve the right to adjust anything for playability and balance at the table (so select based on what you would like to roleplay). No optional feats until 12th level. Standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8; +2/+1 of your choice)
I found this map online: https://inkarnate.com/m/9ekxqo--kingdom-of-cianna/ . The map shows three kingdoms: Cianna in the center left, Briseian in the bottom right, and Aedion in the top right. Feel free to use it in your backstory. I know absolutely nothing about the world it represents (all I know about the campaign world is the Duke's Road that runs along the north side of the Avonwick Mountains in Cianna so players and their backstories will have a wide role in helping creating the world itself).
I will contact applicants via discord for further discussion prior to inviting them to the game.
Beginners welcomed.

Please answer the following items (or if you prefer send the answers via private message):
Can you confirm that you can and will do video?
How long have you been playing table-top RPGs?
What will your race, class, and subclass be?
Briefly tell me a little about your character in 2-3 sentences:
What will your alignment be?
What is your discord (including the #)?
If you are selected for the game will you show up?
Hi - I'm Jackie. The campaign you mentioned sounds neat - I would be interested in joining!
Can you confirm that you can and will do video? Yes that's not a problem.
How long have you been playing table-top RPGs? I haven't played myself but I've been interested in getting involved after listening to a few DnD podcasts - Highrollers and NADDPOD mostly.
What will your race, class, and subclass be? I'd like to play a half-elf warlock with a great old one patron, if possible. Though I do have some other character ideas too.
Briefly tell me a little about your character in 2-3 sentences: Elias Atwood - a 34 year old former investigator/detective turned adventurer. While looking into the activity of a cult in his home city he opened a book he shouldn't have and was transported to a different plane where he first encountered his patron. His personal goal after finally getting back home is to use his new abilities to hunt down any remaining copies, but would also be willing to step in to help anyone in need.
What will your alignment be? Lawful good
What is your discord (including the #)? I'm jqshepard on discord or JQ#0830 - either should work.
If you are selected for the game will you show up? Yes- I'm available on Thursday evenings so there shouldn't be any conflicts.
hey, was wondering if you still needed someone to play. if so my discord username is *40ram_rod06174*(it might be *bobthebuilder*) i can do video and I've been playing dnd for about a year now but this is hopefully my first digital campaign. my race is human and my class is druid and my spell slot consists of "produce flame" witch is my cantrip and my other two spells are "cure wound" and "healing word" tho i'd be happy to change either if you need it. and to describe my character in 2-3 sentences i would say that he's a 26 year old male human druid raised in the briar wood forest named Eldran Colbolt. who likes to know his enemy’s capabilities and weaknesses before rushing into battle and oftentimes wastes his magic and heals party members who haven't taken that much damage. my characters alignment is chaotic good but i can change it if you need me to. and yes i should be able to make it on time as long as nothing goes wrong.
Hi! This looks like a wonderful campaign, and I'd be more than happy to join. To answer your questions:
Yes, I can do video, no problem. My experience with TTRPGs goes back years, ever since I started watching D20 on Dropout and listening to DnDaddies and NADDPod. I've been playing on and off since then; I've played in three campaigns with three DMs, none of which were played to completion, as either my schedule changed or other people left. I've put quite a lot of thought into the art of making and playing a character, and into the mechanics of the game itself, so I think I'm more than prepared to actually join a long-term game. I have many different characters whose concepts I'm floating right now: a goblin ranger, a warlock/fighter, a druid, and an undead cleric. I would be happy to talk about any and all of these over Discord if you would be open to that. Depending on which one, most alignments could be filled in some way, save for chaotic and lawful evil. deadlyjackattack1 (discord removed the #) I can show up on Thursday (provided it is not literally tomorrow).

Looks like we have 3 players, but could still use 1-3 more!
