Game: D&D 3.5 Group preferred: Face-to-face Experience: veteran Location/Timezone: East Tennessee Availability: Somewhat flexible Preferred role: DM / Player Game style: Strong roleplay is great, but kick-in-the-door works, too.
It might be a longshot, but I thought I'd check to see if there are any groups in my area looking for an experienced player. I've played since the '80s and DMed since 1993. I almost always DM, because people ask me to, but I always want to play instead. I strongly prefer D&D 3.5, but I can play AD&D and 4e as well. I just can't stand 5th edition; I would honestly have more fun staying home and staring at the wall, so I won't waste the time of any groups dedicated to that version. I also love many other RPGs, especially Shadowrun 3e and 4e. I live in Rogersville, but I currently drive an hour to play a game on Thursday nights (a game that might be ending soon), and I don't mind commuting a bit.
I love to roleplay, yet I always min-max my characters to try to keep them alive. Many tragic deaths have made a munchkin out of me. I don't believe this has ever created a problem at a table, but I am aware that some DMs are nervous about number-crunching players, so I'm putting it out there.
