Who is DM CHEF -
Hello, my name is DM Chef. I'm a bit newer to the community of online TTRPG. I play and run a lot of D&D 5e games. I'm currently looking to offer 5 seats to a campaign that is beloved by many. This campaign is known for being in the D&D starter kit and still to this day. One of my favorites to run. I operate through Discord & Roll20. You might here my German Shepard puppies in the background. They love to get involved.
Why my table?
Well, for starters I like to run my tables under (Raw) Rules as Written. I also operate a really fun table with plenty of RP moments. I want your characters to get involved with Faerun. We could even turn this into a longer campaign if everyone sticks around after the LMoP module. I love playing D&D and want to give an experience people would enjoy.
Application below:
Name: Character name: Character Class: Character Race: Character Background: Why do you want to play this module?
I forgot about that. Still getting used to this online thing. I ran a good campaign back home but i moved and some of them are not willing to learn the roll20 stuff. I honestly really like the roll20 system. But thank you. I can't believe i forgot that part.
Roll20 can be a bit finicky with the character builder/charactermancer stuff. Though if people are willing to buy the classes etc they want on DnDbeyond the Beyond20 extension is so easy. You just run your character from DnDbeyond and rolls/information gets sent to roll20.
And honestly roll20 has gotten a lot better recently. The measuring tools in particular for cones and areas etc are brilliant. Shame they weren’t willing to give it a go. Anyways, good luck with the game!
I haven't messed with d&d beyond too much. I'm an old school bookwork. lol. But i need to look into that as i get more of a thing going. Seems like the DM's who offer more are more expensive. Which makes sense. The digital books are not cheap.
DnDbeyond is quite nice in that you can buy things individually and don’t have to buy the entire book (official 5e only, things like CR and dakenheim you need to buy the full thing I believe). So you can access the players handbook for free in terms of classes/races/spells etc. But if you want something specific you can buy them separately. So people could always buy the content they want to use themselves if it would feel easier to them. The character interface on DnDbeyond is just so much cleaner and intuitive.

Just a suggestion. You should probably add the time zone to your post as Monday 6pm could be anything haha
