I'm Gareth, DM and player of 5e for many a year. I haven't played in a year and looking to pick up a group that wants to play once a month or fortnight. I've been a DM for up to seven people in the past. My best availability Sunday afternoon US eastern time but open most weeknights as well.
Welcome to new people because everyone has to start somewhere. Thanks for the consideration, send me a message if you want to know more.
I'm down for a game anytime, i just want to warn you i am still very new to the game. My friends got me into it and i really enjoy playing the little campaigns they put together to help me understand the game
I enjoy everything about it, the fantasy the role play the use of imagination, makes me feel like a kid again when i used to dream about being in worlds like these. As far as learning goes anything and everything you are willing to teach me honestly
i do have 2 created characters when i was playing with my friends they helped me with both, but we dont play it enough for me to grasp a full understanding of how everything works in the game.
I would say AD&D but it has been so long...I can adapt. If I remember correctly, thinking 3rd edition was the last I played. We used to play three times a week for about 6-8 hours. Group of about eight.
I am curious on how the online play works. I have access to discord and camera. (I stream on Twitch and TikTok).
Favorite memory? I had a character name Hall. He was a thief (and a bad one by the roles I got). He was branded, had a hand cut off (got that back with a wish) and finally, Hall decided to give up thieving. The party had defeated a dragon and, as we were going through the spoils, I just threw a belt over my shoulder. The DM was my real life father so he threw a 100d for a chance of if the belt was cursed or not. As it happened, it was a cursed belt of sex change. Hall became Hallina and due to my low constitution, retired from adventuring and opened the first bikinis and battleaxes shop in Greyhawk.
I just joined and I'm looking for a group. I'm super new to D&D, I've only played a few short in-person campaigns with my friends. Anyone willing to teach a rookie?😅
yes i am looking for some guidelines , and perhaps when i learn more about the game i would like to be a DM one day but for now i think i would much rather be the player
Hey, I just started today and was wondering if I could join? If discord is required I don’t know if it will work as my discord has been down lately, but I could try and get it up again. But otherwise, I would love to join a first campaign. If you have any tips I would appreciate them:)
I am willing to join depending on the time. Would love for it to be later after my kids go down. But understandable not everyone has these restrictions.
Would like to join. Old player, new to online play. 5e would be great. Not really interested in a large group (nothing against anyone here), so I don't know how that works. Happy to talk more about availability, likes, dislikes, and so forth.
I threw a straw poll to help with scheduling. Made it sound unclear on my last post, I'm available online between 5-10pm most nights. If you have any specific questions let me know!
Take #1 as best night #2 as second best and so forth. I'll probably tag the post as closed by tomorrow night just so we don't have fifty people all trying to join one game.

All good six, what do you enjoy about the game? What do you want to learn more about??

Got a group of 3 rn, looking for 2 more players and a dm!
I'm interested
Hey Ray,
I'm Gareth I could be a player or the DM, what is your group into?
Awesome Six,
Are you looking for some guidelines for your 2-character concepts or do you want to host your own game as a DM one day?
Hello,
I haven't played for about 23 years but would love to start again. Would love to join.
Good to see you Apakolyspe,
So are you more a 3.5 player or AD&D type? What is one of your favorite memories about D&D?
I would say AD&D but it has been so long...I can adapt. If I remember correctly, thinking 3rd edition was the last I played. We used to play three times a week for about 6-8 hours. Group of about eight.

[a few dozen sessions of experience playing and DMing]
I'm willing to join, would this be on Discord or somewhere else?
I have a server you can DM in if you need.
We have a lot of people interested.
Is there a night that works well for most of us to hop a discord server/zoom call in the next week or two?
Something around 5:00pm would work best for me.

And I am assuming I need discord or zoom, I’ll see what I can set up about that.
