Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned adventurer, I'm here to lead you through the adventure of Curse of Strahd in a campaign for players aged 18+. This is my personal favorite module for 5e and one im excited to share with you.
About Me:
I'm a 26 year old Dungeon Master with 5 years of experience, dedicated to introducing players to the immersive world of D&D. I enjoy creating an engaging and enjoyable experience. My focus in on player agency and I always motivate my players to "try" anything. My acting skills arent Oscar worth but I do my best to bring the world to life for my players. I have access to most content on DND beyond and will share this with you for my games.
The Three Pillars of D&D:
In my games, we fully embrace the three pillars of D&D: Exploration, Roleplay, and Combat. You'll dive deep into the secrets of Barovia, engage in intense character interactions, and face chilling battles. Together, we'll weave a narrative that'll linger in your mind long after the session is over.
Our Shared Adventure:
My primary goal is to ensure every player has a comfortable and fun time at my table. I host a session 0 before every campaign to make sure my players are well equipped for the journey. My table has an open door policy if any issues needing to be discussed and I'm always around to answer any questions you may have with dnd or the table.
Session Details:
Our sessions take place every week at 4pm PST. We'll be using Foundry VTT and Discord to play and connect. I am a Dungeon Master of startplaying.com which is what we will use for payment and scheduling.
The cost of each session is $12
The adventure that awaits us is Curse of Strahd, a chilling and iconic D&D campaign set in the cursed land of Barovia. You cant leave this land through normal or even magic means and must find a way out. You'll encounter werewolves, unravel dark secrets, and confront the infamous vampire lord Strahd von Zarovich himself. Even if you've read this module I always put my own spin on every game and personalize content so each experience is unique.
Hook:
It’s the evening before the High Harvest Tide a largely celebrated holiday on the Sword Coast. A storm brews over the entirety of Fearun and all around people are closing their shutters and preparing for a storm. Despite this the towns and cities are a buzz with anticipation for the impending festival and most know despite rain or wind a celebration will be had. You each find yourself headed to whatever you call home for the evening. You are alone and suddenly the cheery voices heard around you go silent. A unworldly mist cloaks the street as shadowy figures prepare themselves to commit their dark deeds. You suddenly feel the hot pain of sharpened steel over and over and things are starting to go dark. Voices faintly heard as you fade complaining of your meager belongings but laughing it off as the reward for such a strong soul is high. Your last thoughts begin to float away as everything goes dark…..
