Roles sought: Players Needed: 1 to 2 (the current party is 3 people, about 5 sessions in)
Game style:
This is a homebrew campaign designed on the world of Toril (the “main” world in 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons for newbies!). The continent is Faerun. Neverwinter, Waterdeep, and the rest of the places you may have heard of are all here.
The adventure started on the Sword Coast, near the High Forest. It has options to expand through the world of Toril and beyond depending on where the players want to try and take it. There will be hooks throughout for players to take excursions to the Feywild (land of the faeries for those who have never played before), the Radiant Citadel (hub to multiple other worlds), and even to other planes, such as Avernus.
The story isn’t on rails, though. This all only happens based on player choice. We’re telling a collaborative story, so where you want to go, I’ll take you.
The campaign will 100% have some eldritch aspects. It won’t be grimdark, but there will be all of the awesome things DnD has: your typical DnD cults doing culty things, celestial beings, dragons, orcs, goblins, arachnid people, etc.
What to Expect:
A campaign that starts with a street level threat that grows into a much greater threat involving the hells, devils, demon lords, etc.
Exploration/integration/progression of character backgrounds/stories.
A great balance of exploration, investigation, interaction and combat.
I also like to do awesome things like make dungeons/encounters based on 80’s movies like The Lost Boys. Ever wanted to fight Ser Frederick of Dreams and save the village from his nightmarish grasp? Ever wanted to wield a legendary artifact like the mask of Ser Jason of Crystal Lake? This might be the campaign for you. Please note I drop these in as an homage for people who know what they are, but overall, the game is DnD and I will keep it grounded there.
