Hio, just picked up the book and was hoping there might be someone willing to run this setting. After asynchronous pbp or the likes, be on a forum here, other or discord.
In EU timezone to make things easier but if it's only a few messages a day on discord or just a daily post on forum, it's not overly important eh.
No paid events please. Happy to play with any ages or experience, just be a friendly group.
Hi, I just quickly skimmed through the introduction of the book, and it seems interesting enough. I'd rather join as a player, but if no DMs are stepping up, I suppose I could try.

I may be interested in DMing this, but it would need to remain on this forum. I am EST in the US, so not your ideal time zone, and I'd need a bit of time (a few days perhaps ) to familiarize myself with the setting once I buy the digital book. I probably will hold off on buying it til I know a little more about the group, if there's interest in me running it, and if my requirements are ok for you. Feel free to pm me with any questions or post here, I'll sub to it.

Excellent 👍 we may have another taker as dm so you may be lucky 😁

I'm fine staying on forum, and with a forum rather than discord, it's likely to run slower at a post a day so time zone matters less. No massive rush to start do a few days isn't a problem either. Rather have people on board and a good consistent crew than rush in and everything fall apart straight after.

I'm fine with the requirements, and take as much time as you need!

I agree. It might be slower, but a long-term game is better than one that crashes and burns within the first week.

Okay, sounds like fun! Some things I like to ask everyone before starting anything, and anyone else that decides they'd like to play (other than the 2 whobhave already decided they'd like to play) should answer too.
-what do you as a player prefer for a balance between RP and combat?
-how much out of character banter do you enjoy, if any?
-how often do you believe you could post? (Once or twice a day? More, less?)
-For a PbP game, do you prefer everyone get a post in before someone posts their next, or more freeform? Initiative aside, of course.
-if book sharing is enabled, do you have any unlocked on your beyond account?
That's it for now. Again, any questions for me, please feel free to ask!
1. Since this will be a PbP style, I'd prefer more roleplaying than combat. PbP combat is a drag to go through, but it could be fun to describe. Maybe a 70-30 RP to combat ratio?
2. I'm quite talkative out of character, and I do like getting to know the people behind the characters I'm playing with, so maybe a separate thread or group PM for OOC stuff would be nice.
3. At the very least, once per day. I can see myself doing more than that if everyone else is active and available, though.
4. I try to wait until everyone's posted, but if it's something that directly applies to me (ex. another character asks mine a question, and I can answer it without waiting for everyone else), I'll go out of order. In general, if we end up waiting over a couple of days for a single person and they don't say anything about why they're ghosting, I say we just move on.
5. No, unfortunately. I put the stuff I need in the homebrew maker, and I have access to most sourcebooks from another DM.
Question for you: How good are you with flavoring changes?

Flavor changes are fine with me, just give me a heads up so I know what you are doing. I also agree with the post consistency. Once we have a group formed, I'd say it's best if we put it to a vote on how long it goes before the whole group continues forward, and how it is handled from the DM perspective.
A group pm or separate thread are both good ideas in my mind, ooc chat can be helpful/entertaining.
- I think this setting may be better for reduced combat to that 70/30, and pbp can be slower for combat, but a bit thrown in where appropriate is good.
-ooc, I'll be there, though planning strategies etc I feel should be done in character.
- Should easily manage once a day, couple of times is possible if we're still active, but we shall see.
-ideally everyone gets a turn at talking, but sometimes it makes just as much sense to jump right in. Failing that, no issue with pulp fiction timings.
-i have a few books, but not there master account for being able to share. Humblewood included
Yup good times. Do you want a 4th or happy with 3, or do you want us to bring 2 each? Fine each way but the waiting for a 4th can obviously delay for an unknown length of time. You good to set up ooc so we can start there?
If you want more players, making a new recruitment post in the PbP forum will help this gain traction.

Il work on a post for the pbp forums tomorrow if I'm able. Trying to solve a phone issue, and that's what I'm accessing this with.
Plan is to do the master subscription so we can share books, that way everyone would have access to the setting and whatnot. I'm ok with 3, but 4 may be better if we get them. Once we've got a post up in pbp it may go quicker.
Should we start making our characters now or wait until the whole party's formed?

Wait until I solve this phone issue, should be today or tomorrow at the latest (according to tech support...lol) then I'll create the campaign, then you can make characters. You'll need the book access to get the species and feats and whatnot.

hi id love to join as a player if this is still open
-i prefer fifty fifty i like to role play but it feels wrong without a battle in the middle
- i like to speak out of character for some things but i want to try to role play more in this campaign to learn
-i probably can post probably like twice a day
-i'm fine with either ill just do what everyone else is comfortable with
-i don't have any on my account i prefer physical

I agree with that. By helpful, I meant helpful to build cohesion, not to meta-game or strategize. If your characters are talking it's in game :P

Hey! Is there any spot available? I´m quite interested in trying to play this kind of game (Humblewood)
Hi yes there is. You did now it's going to be pbp here on the forum?
Yeah... might be my first time in a forum but sounds interesting
How's the phone? I think we have a full team now. 👍
